Ever, Ever After: The TR Formerly Known as Wishing You Were Here- May 2011

I love the last night tradition of fudge on Main Street. I almost forgot about that one! That was also a great Vinylmation trade. I can't think of a better way to say goodbye to the Magic Kingdom... especially if you're only saying goodbye for a few months.:thumbsup2

A bittersweet morning of packing up and leaving... Congratulations on obtaining Annual Passes. I only wish I had reason to do so. I'm sorry about the less than satisfying Vinylmation trade, but at least you have something to trade in October!

"How big a mess can he make?"
That is one sentence that a parent should NEVER say!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Sounds like a nice morning....considering y'all were leaving the happiest place on Earth! I've been thinking about getting into either the pin trading or the vinylamtion....I can't decide which I would enjoy more!

Sounds like there may be a brownie mess cliffhanger in the mist!:surfweb:

Watching babies play and have fun is far better than packing! What a sweet husband to take over the packing!:thumbsup2

Very shortly you will be trading in that sad faced vinylmation! Can't wait to see what you get! I must admit I think I will be joining the vinylmation craze this trip... and we also got lanyard and pin starter sets... I may become a trading addict... but at least I know I'm not alone! :rotfl:

I forgot to add how awesome to be AP holders! That is so exciting and gives one more reason to plan extra trips!

I am definitely avoiding the Vinylmation craze after reading all about your addiction to trading. My blood pressure wouldn't be able to handle the anticipation of what would be in the box if I traded.

Hey, I could quit any time I wanted to. :hyper::laughing: There is a very nerve wracking moment when you don't know if you're getting something awesome or gruesome, but it's a lot of fun either way.

Bummer your TR is coming to an end but atleast your next trip is right around the corner!

I cannot wait for my next trip to come up! MNSSHP and F&W and a nice long trip. Perfect.

Your next trip is almost here, and it sounds like you had a great end to this trip! Your TRs make me want to start a Vinylmation collection. I can't trade pins and those though. I'll be in the stores all day :rotfl:

This trip definitely ended nicely. Our MK night was so much fun and even packing up and leaving wasn't as bad as it could have been. When I started trading Vinylmation, I really thought I'd only buy a couple and just keep trading them around and now I think I'm up to ten. The same thing happened with pins- I got too many to fit on one lanyard.

Good for Jeremy!

I'm glad we decided to end our trip the same way we normally do, although I suspect Jeremy just wanted to make sure we didn't miss our ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern.:rotfl:

Well, I think you're down to 10 now, because I'm down to 27!! I hope we can do the single digit dance on this TR!

Is today single digit day? I can never keep track of that. Maybe it's tomorrow. I'll do a little dancing, just in case. :dance3:

Yeah, I'm seriously okay with her not walking completely yet. It's that whole running thing that freaks me out. I don't run in the best of circumstances, let alone running after a toddler. We'll be heading back in March of 2012 (need to get as much out of that AP as we can!) and she'll be 21 months by then, so I'm sure running will be in full swing.

I actually think that running after a toddler is much easier than just running in general. When you just go running for the sake of running, it's harder to feel motivated, but when you're chasing a toddler about to smear his peanut butter and jelly hands on your beautiful Dooney & Burke bag, somehow, you find you're able to outrun him.:rotfl:

Ah yes, the dreaded PDD. You know the cure, right?

I do indeed. I was thinking today about whether it was too soon to broach the subject of another December trip. Just a little one. Don't want those APs to go to waste.

Yes, I completely agree. I know how difficult it is to get out of the house with one, let alone two.

I'm just glad we don't have three kids. I don't know how it's possible with three.

We have the EXACT same suitcases, that is too funny!

I love my suitcases! I've taken those so many places. Those bags have seen some awesome Disney trips. :goodvibes

There's nothing a Bake Shop Cookie and a sweet tea won't cure.

Very true. I can't wait to get to Disney and get more cookies and sweet tea.

I love those sunglasses on Carter! They look very similar to a pair I had in the 80's.

Doesn't he look cute? He was so proud of himself in those glasses. :)

Duh duh duh......

I know. Never challenge a toddler to make a mess.

Sweet Tea & Minnie's Bake Shop Cookies = perfect vacation breakfast!

I hated reading about your goodbye moment at the MK... I think you do it relatively upbeat, which i love, it just made me think of my own last trip...

i can't wait to read about the next one though. I just love your boys and how they complement each other with their personalities.

I always feel better about leaving the MK once we stop for fudge. It's just so hard to be sad with Celebration fudge. I was really happy to have a matching pair of Statler and Waldorf. Carter loved those two and kept asking to play with "two old guys". I'm glad we had this next trip coming right up.

I always hate packing up the room, especially since we never travel light when we travel with the boys. It's such a nice feeling to have Annual Passes again. We kept wishing we had gotten them a few months after ever trip lately, so the October trip provided a great excuse. I knew I shouldn't have traded then. :rotfl:

I certainly shouldn't have said it with Landon listening.

Famous last words!!! You would have been perfectly fine if you hadn't said anything . . . but once you say something like this it is bound to happen!!

I know, I shouldn't have said anything about it. I'm sure Landon didn't realize it was a rhetorical question. :rotfl:

It was one of the better going home mornings I've ever had. The boys had fun playing and it's nice to leave with APs. I enjoy both pin trading and vinylmation. :rotfl: I've been doing more vinylmation lately, because somehow vinylmation seems more toddler friendly than pins.

Sounds like there may be a brownie mess cliffhanger in the mist!:surfweb:

It was only a quarter of a brownie. How big a cliffhanger could be? :rotfl:

I certainly got the easier job that morning. The boys were thrilled to be playing outside and I was happy to have a little bit more time to appreciate Pop Century. It was nice of Jeremy to handle packing that morning. :)

Trading is so much fun! I love trading pins and vinylmation. I can't wait to get to the parks and start trading. I'm going to try bringing my pins again this trip, now that the boys are a little older. I bet you'll have a lot of fun with the new pin sets and vinylmation.

It's so nice to know that any time I have an extra weekend or any time at all, I could go to the parks and not worry about buying tickets! APs are the best.:goodvibes

Kate, I read your latest update and it was great. I'm sorry I don't have time to make individual comments on it, but I'm going to Disney tomorrow and trying to catch up on everything (one of our cars was hit this weekend and pretty much totaled, so a lot has been going on).

I hope you have a great trip and I look forward to the next TR. :goodvibes

According to your ticker:

You are 9 Days from Disney!!!! Single Digit Dance Time!!!

:jumping1::jumping1:

:dance3::dance3:

I always miss single digit day somehow. Oh, well. I'll be a little too early and a little too late and that way, I can single digit dance twice. party:

It was a great breakfast! Vacation meals are always the best. Can't wait to get back to Disney!

It's so hard to leave MK that last time, isn't it? I think we've got leaving down to a fine art, so it's really not too bad any more. Do you all have your next trip lined up yet?

The boys get more and more interesting everyday. It is fascinating to me how different Carter and Landon are from each other. They're very unique, both of them.

At least you dont have long until you can trade creepy sad eyes vinylmation :rotfl:

I've got several vinylmation I want to trade on this next trip. I'm almost hoping for some bad trades, though, because pretty soon, I'll have only vinylmation that I like.

I'm so sorry to hear about your car! That's horrible, especially with a trip coming up so quickly. I'm glad no one was hurt and your trip is still on, though. I can't believe you all are leaving tomorrow! Your trip's finally here and which means mine's nearly here. Maybe it's time to start packing.

Thank you! I hope you all have a great trip, too. :)

The rest of the drive home was dull and boring. By the end of the drive, two of the four of us were absolutely sick of The Wiggles.

Landon made a complete recovery from his cold, which no one else ever caught. Perhaps it was just related to teething and not a true cold.

Landon began walking a couple weeks after we got home. He became a cheerful and easygoing little boy, once he was independent in walking. I personally found my overall quality of life to have gone up by at least 65%.

About a month after our trip, my local Disney Store started doing Vinylmation trades. They only have a clear trading box, so it isn't quite as much fun as it is at Disney World, but it's something. I'll be returning to Disney World with quite a different set than the set I brought home.

I'm still trying to decide which ones to trade and which ones to keep.

Time has flown by so fast since our May trip. I can't quite believe that it's only eight days until we return to Disney World.

I want to thank all of my readers, whose comments have been a source of great joy and inspiration to me. I've loved every second of this trip report and truly appreciate all of you who joined me in reliving fond memories of my past.

I do also want to thank my lurkers (who will remain anonymous) for their significant contribution to my page views.

My friends, I leave you with the answer to the age-old question of how big a mess a toddler can make with a fourth of a brownie.

Until Next Time,

I loved being along with you on this trip!!! Enjoy your upcoming trip...can't wait to hear all about it! ;):surfweb:

Bravo! Bravo! Such a wonderful TR and I look forward to the next.

Can't wait to hear all about your October trip. popcorn::

I really loved reading your trip report! Has made me look forward to the time we take our 2 (one on the way!!!) in a few years time. Yes sadly it will be that long before I get another trip!
Your boys are gorgeous and I can't wait to read your October report. Have a fantastic time! xxx

Once again I have very much enjoyed reading your TR! Can't wait to read all about your October trip! Maybe Ill see ya around the world next week! Have a wonderful trip!

I love your trip report! Your boys are adorable! Have fun at Disney! MNSSHP is the best. I'm bummed we aren't going this year. I can't wait to read your next report! :goodvibes

You got rid of Carter's "two old guys?" How does he feel about that? :lmao::rotfl2: Looks like you've got some good vinylmations there. You might have to buy some new ones to find something you'll want to trade away.

I'm glad Landon started walking and became a little bit happier with his new found mobility. The mess he made with the brownie was actually a little less than I expected. It looks like it was at least somewhat confined to his face.:rotfl:

I really enjoyed reading your TR. I hope you guys have a fantastic trip and I look forward to reading about it!
