Bad mom is the best, isn't she? :rotfl: I suppose there is something to be said for enjoying a kid wanting to get in the bed with you. I wonder if mine will want to start doing that when they're a little older. I felt so sorry for Landon, too. He sounded miserable.

"Oh, Toodles! Oh, Tooodles! Oh, Toooooooooooodles!"

After a restless night with Landon, I was hoping everyone would sleep in, but Carter was up a little before seven, apparently in need of a Mousekatool.

Carter doesn't always get up early, but whatever time he gets up, he wakes up cheerful and ready to start his day. He must get that from Jeremy.

I decided that turning on Disney Junior would be less likely to wake up Landon than to leave Carter with nothing to do. It was so early that Handy Manny was on.

"Carter, you see what happens when you get up too early? You have to watch Handy Manny."

Carter didn't seem to mind, but I was glad when Special Agent Oso came on next.

I quietly got us some cereal bars and juice boxes for breakfast, while Landon continued to sleep peacefully in my bed, without the slightest of a snore.

I wanted Landon to get to sleep for as long as possible, so I spent the next few hours hanging out with Carter, trying to keep him entertained, but quiet.

I texted Jeremy and was happy to hear that he was on his way to us, and he thought he might make it by eleven or so.

Landon slept late, waking up a little after ten. Evidence of his rough night was showing in his hair.

I evaluated his condition. His nose seemed very drippy, but he was in good spirits, had a good appetite and didn't have a fever. I decided he probably had a cold and would be just fine.

It was nearly time to go meet Jeremy so I began to get the boys ready to go. It had been a fun two days, and it was about to get even better.

Awww what cuties!! Landons crazy hair was adorable :goodvibes

My nephew calls him Handy Mandy...poor Manny has become a girl in our family :rotfl:

Yay for Jeremy being on his way and for Landon only having some minor health issues and nothing serious :goodvibes

Aww, poor Landon! I'm sure he was very happy to curl up next to his mommy for the night! :goodvibes It's great that he slept in though!! :thumbsup2 Yay for your DH coming soon!!! You and the boys must be so excited!!

sounds like a nice morning, spending some one on one time with carter. James is always happy in the morning too- and it definitely doesnt come from chris or I. I'm glad Landon seems to be okay other than the pesky cold.

Yeah for Daddy coming...I'm sure you all were really missing him by this point!!!

And yes...I was happy that I didn't receive a Big Baby! :lmao:

Loved catching up on your report! I love your parenting humor, especially the Landon narrated chapter. It had me dying! :rotfl: I feel the same way with DD2 a lot of times exactly what you've described.

Thanks! I thought his hair was pretty funny that morning. It looks cute on him, though.

I can totally see how a little kid would think it was Handy Mandy. It rhymes better and Mandy's probably a more common name.

He seemed very content when he was with me. I'm sure my bed was more comfortable than his, plus he got to cuddle. I think the sleeping in was really good for him. He usually only sleeps in when he's not feeling good, so I was happy Carter didn't wake him up.

I think the morning would have been much nicer if I had had a cup of coffee in the room. :rotfl: It was nice to have some Carter time though, and if I have to be up early with him, at least he's not grumpy. I was glad Landon only had a cold, too.

We sure were! I couldn't wait until Jeremy got there and we could start the best part of the trip.

I wonder if anybody likes Big Baby. I'm sure there would have been another character to take his place. Maybe a Mr. Pricklepants would have been better.

Hi! Thanks! I always try to keep a sense of humor with parenting. Landon and Carter both make me laugh all the time. :goodvibes Little kids can be so funny.

I am so happy that Landon got some sleep and woke up without a fever. And :thumbsup2 to Carter for not waking him up.

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: Jeremy is on the way.

First & most importantly, those 2 boys of yours are so stinkin' cute!!! Love the morning pics! Reid wakes up early EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. So, I get to see everyone on Disney Junior from Handy Manny to Little Einsteins to Oso. Funny thing is while you were glad Oso was coming on next, I absolutely detest that bear. He drives me crazy! :lmao: Sounded like a very nice morning. Can't wait to hear how the boys reacted to seeing their Daddy!

I was glad he woke up fever-free, too. With a fever, I would have been wondering all day if he was all right, but a cold is much less worrisome. And Carter was a very good big brother, not waking up Landon.

I was so excited that Jeremy was almost there. :cool1:

Thanks! I'm very lucky that so far my boys do sleep in on occasion. I think Handy Manny is the worst. I don't like Little Einsteins much either, mostly because my boys are bored by it. Oso, to me, really isn't so bad. I appreciate the irony of having a special agent bear who always comes to save the day and then doesn't know how to do anything. Plus, it's really cute to hear Carter saying Special Agent Carter. :rotfl:

Daddy was gone, to be begin with. There was no doubt whatever about that.

Mommy claimed he would be coming back, but I really couldn't work out how he would get here, stranded in Jacksonville, approximately 160 miles away.

Mommy was driving Landon and I somewhere. I was paying close attention to our route. According to my calculations, we were returning back to where we had circled pointlessly last night.

Perhaps we were going to get another yogurt parfait. That had been delicious. Perhaps this time, I would get one all to myself and Landon would get his own. Or Landon could have something else. It didn't really matter to me.

Mommy passed the place where she should have turned in for yogurt. Definitely a mistake, but no use pointing it out. They never listen to me when I try to explain how to get to a yogurt place or a playground.

Someday, I'm going to have my own car. It'll be big and red and fast and I'll drive it wherever I want to. And I'll eat three yogurt parfaits and never share with Landon.

Landon's not really a bad sort, for a brother. He's messy and he tackles and bites, but other than that, not too bad. It could have been worse. I could have gotten a sister.

Mommy pulled the car into a parking lot, where we all sat and waited. What were we doing? The sign said Doubletree, but I wasn't sure what that meant.

That's the problem with reading. I can read as well as anyone, but a lot of the words seem like nonsense. I've learned to look for words that make sense, like Pizza and Ice Cream.

We waited and waited. Landon and I were both bored, so Mommy turned on the Wiggles for us. Greg is my favorite. I don't care for Sam.

As we watched Rock a Bye Your Bear, I saw a man walking toward our car. It looked like Daddy! It couldn't be, could it?

But it was! Daddy came right over to our car and got in! I was ecstatic. I had never expected to see Daddy again and now he was here. Our whole family was complete again.

"Hey, Carter! Hey, Landon! Good to see you guys."

"Daddy! Daddy! Hi, Daddy!"

"Hi, Carter!"

I danced a little in my car seat. It was so exciting. Landon was excited, too and even Mommy looked happy. Everything was perfect.

Mommy told Daddy everything that had happened for the past few days. She got a few details wrong, but I let it slide.

"And so, I thought before we go to Epcot, we ought to stop by a drug store and get more baby Tylenol for Landon, just in case, and some Zycam for me or you if you want any, to avoid catching his cold."

"I don't want any Zycam, but we should get you some."

"That sounds great. I'm so glad you're here."

"Me, too. Long two days, huh?"

"The longest."

Mommy left the Walt Disney World Resort and I figured it was the perfect time to continue my study of traffic lights. I watched for them carefully and saw one coming up.

"Red light! Mommy stop!"

Mommy did stop and looked at me, surprised. Apparently, she hadn't known what red lights meant. Glad I could help her out.

"Green light! Mommy go, go, go!"

"Did you teach him that?"

"No. He just knows."

"What a clever little boy."

That was me. A clever little boy. I didn't allow it to go to my head though. I had red lights and green lights figured out, but yellow lights were still a mystery. I couldn't deduce whether the cars were supposed to slam on the brakes or speed past the light.

Further study would be required. Mommy pulled into a...Walgreens, according to the sign and we all got out.

I got to walk in with Daddy! Daddy and I held hands all through the parking lot. I planned on holding on tight to Daddy. I didn't want him to get lost again.

Mommy quickly picked out a couple boxes that made a great shaky shaky noise when you shook them. Landon dropped one and learned that it also made a great clangy noise.

Mommy also grabbed a couple of cans of "Monster Energy" and "Starbucks Doubleshot Energy Plus Coffee".

We paid for the medicine and the drinks and we got back in the car.

"Jeremy, is that what you're wearing to Epcot?"

"I was going to. Is there anything wrong with it?"

"It looks fine, just something you wear to work, so I wasn't sure if it was comfortable enough for Epcot."

I studied Daddy/Jeremy's shirt. It was a blue shirt with a collar. Seemed fine to me. It doesn't really matter what Mommy or Daddy wears. Their clothes always ends up looking like whatever Landon has had to eat.

Daddy said his shirt was fine and Mommy said she was eager to get to Epcot anyway. Mommy followed the street signs perfectly and drove us straight to Epcot. If only I could figure out what an Epcot was.

Carter, what a great storyteller you are. Thank you for letting us know that your Daddy arrived back safely and that your family is whole again. I can't wait to hear about your day at Epcot, whatever that is. ;)

Yeah for Daddy being found!!

Colby recently figured out stop lights as well. When the light turns green he says, "Go Mommy, Go!"

Great update, Carter! I'm so glad you found your Daddy. Hope you held on tight to him in that Epcot place & didn't let him get lost again! Can't wait to hear what kind of fun you had with your family in Epcot!
