We did the KTTK tour the last time we were in WDW, and we loved it.

Here's my question to anyone who has done the KTTK tour twice (or more!):

Do you feel you got enough of a different perspective or enough different "tidbits" to make the second tour worth the money?

I have done it twice, but they were very far apart...The first time I did it was around 1993 or so, and it was an entirely different experience. The tour was given very early in the morning, before the park was open and the tour group was the only people in the park. You were allowed to take pictures everywhere but the utilidor, which was awesome for getting pictures in front of attractions (like the castle) without any other guests around. The tour ended with watching the rope drop at the end of Main Street and watching the crowd run towards you. The last time I did it was in 2004, and thought it was equally great, but very different. :thumbsup2

Yeah, I've really been considering doing this on my next trip, but wasnt sure if it was really going to be worth it or not. Anyone got any more specifics on the tour?

We did it back in 1998, and I just booked it again for Sept..

*Disney Visa is discontinuing their tour discount of 20% as of Sept. 30th. SO if you are there the last week in Sept into Oct. you may want to book it for the 30th or sooner to get the discount!

I assume you have to have a Disney Visa to get this discount? Cause I will be there last week of Sept and really want to take this tour. Unfortunatly, I just have a regular Visa card...

Bump!

I'll help you keep this up on top, but can't help with your question.

My question to you is what is it like? I would like to do it even once, but is it really worth the $$? What do you see? Does it really add a lot to your vacation?

Thanks for the assist!

The tour was great for us - loads of trivia and "backstage" kind of information. As an example: The tour started just off Main Street, with the tour guide telling us how the MK is, in effect, a show. You have to enter through the tunnels under the trains, so you get a certain effect - you see the park they way they want you to first see the park.

My wife and I are "techies" in community theater, so it was well worth the money for us. I would NOT recommend it for first-time visitors, since some of the Magic could be spoiled.

Yes, it is the Disney Visa... With the Disney Visa they notify cardmembers before the general public for any upcoming specials. Also, 10% off at World of Disney store in DD. Along with a meet n'greet free 5x7 photo...

We actually dont use it much.. just kinda hold onto it.. We usually use our credit card that gives us cash back..

Thanks for the information. This is DH, DM, DS3's, and my second visit. DS and DB's first visit - we'll have to talk to them before booking.

If they're adults, it MIGHT be OK. I don't think I'd recomend it for a child's first visit, though.
