Ever been to a Pin-vited Event?

I just found out that there is going to be a Pin-Vited Event at DL one day when we will be there in July. I was wondering if this was something appropriate for an ameatur pin collector to attend. It cost $65 so it is not cheap. If I went I would probably get a single registration and leave the family to swim or shop. I enjoy trading in the park and I occasionally buy pins online for my Queen of Hearts or Villain collection. It sounds like fun but I'm not sure if it is geared to a more serious collector. I think it takes place from 9am - 3pm. Would I need to stay the whole day? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
