Ever been to a Flemings Steakhouse?

Anyone? They have them in over 25 states around the country....supposed to be comparable to a Ruth's Chris.

There is one in our area, but we have not been yet. I would like to try it out. Waiting to see the responses you get.

I've been to one twice....in general, it is very good. I do feel like they are a little overpriced, and I think that Ruth's Chris has a better steak.

My DH and I have been once. It was a nice meal but I was not too impressed with their service. Someone from the wait staff was ALWAYS at our table. I was literally stalked while I was finishing my salad so that they could whisk the plate away. The food was good but my DH and I were unable to have a conversation due to their constant interruptions. We have not been back as we feel we can have an equally good meal elsewhere for less money and more privacy.

We really like the one by us and have been a few times. The service is good and we love that they have so many wine by the glass selections. It is not an every week place but nice fpr special occasions.

it was ok - food was pricey but overall fair value for what you got, the wine was overpriced. I was familiar with several of the wines by the glass, and had a hard time paying $15 for a glass of wine when I could buy an entire bottle (retail) for $17-20. I am used to wine being on a 100-150% markup, 200+% was steep to me. the atmosphere wasn't great, we didn't have a reservation and were lucky to snag a table in the bar area. It was last spring, and the place was crazy with prom dates. So it was noisy and crowded and not the subdued high-end steakhouse feel I was expecting. I'm sure it would be different on another night.

The food was very good to excellent- DH and I split a couple of small appetizers, he also ordered a steak. I didn't want steak and ordered a hearty appetizer as my entree. It was tempura veggies and langoustines - and while delicious, was still way too big for me to finish. It would have been a generous appetizer for 4 to share. We did not order or drink extravagantly, and our bill was still in the $150 range. I've determined that steakhouses are not my preferred dining splurge.

My husband went for a work dinner and said it was the best steak he ever had. He also liked the appetizers, he did not have to pay for it though.:goodvibes

It was a nice dinner, then we found Shula's and we have never been back!

We really like Flemings.:thumbsup2 I don't think its Ruth Chris quality steak but its not their prices either...a bit less.

I usually get a single lobster tail there for around $30 which is really good price compared to $55 at Mortons:eek:

The lobster tempura appetizer is really fantastic if you want to splurge.

I love the the cracker toast and cheese spread they bring to the table at first...love it:goodvibes
