Events in GA

Are there any runners in GA? I'm looking for some local runs to start entering. 5K or 10K is all I've trained for so far. I'm entering my first race this year. I live in Southwest GA (Albany, GA area)

There are quite a few races all over Georgia. http://www.runningintheusa.com/race/List.aspx?State=GA

Most seem to be in the Metro Atlanta area but it looks like there are some options not too far from you!

I've run that course alot. We take our kids there to ride bikes as well. It really is a nice area. It's part of the "downtown resurgence" project for Albany. Still alot of crime down there, but a great step in the right direction.
