Evening EMH at MGM?

I'm wondering if the evening EMH at MGM will be less crowded during the times when everyone is at Fantasmic. We will be there in September when there is only one show each night. Does anyone have experience with this? I've been reading about the horrible crowds but thought maybe MGM's rides would be less crowded during Fantasmic.

During Fantasmic is the best time to ride R/R Coaster & Tower.
We always go when there are 2 showings & just go to the 10:30 Fantasmic.
If you don't mind missing the show the lines will be much shorter for the 2 headliners.

Definitely. I was there at the beginning of May and got to the park right as Fantasmic started. I rode ToT twice in a row before Fantasmic left out. As I walked over to RnR, Fantasmic had ended and the crowds were pouring out. I got to RnR, it was a 25 minute wait, the que was full. Fantasmic was at 9:00 that night, I had wanted to get there by 8:30 but waited forever for a bus at OKW.

I can't really say- because the only evening EMH we did there Fantasmic was cancelled due to the lightning.. but it was also pouring down rain for almost 2hrs at that time and it still didn't clear out much. So I am not sure we got a clear picture of what a normal evening EMH night is like at MGM.. those that left because of the rain were just followed by the tons of people coming out of Fantasmic once it was cancelled before starting (I'm talking about the 10:30pm Fantasmic being cancelled.. from what I heard from others they only postponed it at first and people waited- then they cancelled it. So anyone that left because of rain was more than equalled by all the people coming out of NOT seeing Fantasmic yet the rain stopped about that time too) LOL

We're going to do it again the next trip (if they still have evening EMH beginning of Oct ofcourse) so we'll find out then how it really is.. I would imagine the busiest part of MGM during the evening EMH will be ToT and RnR... just a guess though. LOL

Anyone else have any experience with MGM on an EMH night?? I'm curious to see too if the crowds are light while everyone is watching Fantasmic...
