Eurostar: Leisure Select vs Castle Class

It's been a little while since we have been to DLRP via Eurostar. I was just checking the prices for this January and it was showing "Leisure Select" as the carriage-upgrade option. Do they still offer Castle Class or has this changed to the new leisure select? If so, are the offerings/service still the same (the little pack-lunch is what we had before)? If not, what is the difference between the two?

Frances, Castle Class has been replaced by Leisure Select. You are now served a hot meal rather than the cold packed meal. It was very nice, it really is hot LOL and is served in a ceramic container with proper cutlery rather than the usual airline plastic ones. You are also constantly being offered drinks (including wine on the return journey).

We were forced into upgrading because the standard seats were unavailable for the day we wished to travel. However, it was so enjoyable that we have chosen to upgrade again at Christmas and will definitely do so each time we go provided our budget will allow.

Bonnie, we had exactly the same! They obviously don't vary their menu Wonder if I will have the same at Christmas!

LOL! thats exactly the same menu as we had too!!! Perhaps during December they stick a sprig of holly on the chicken!!!

This looks like real food rather than that served on airplanes.
I'd like to try the Eurostar at least once, just a shame that transport from Scotland will involve another days travel
