Probably in the wrong place to be asking but there seems to be no trains on that day from Portsmouth to St pancras that will get me there on time! There is one that gets me there for 9:35 but is that enough time?

They say you only need to allow up to 45mins and way so that would be plenty of time i would of thought. its very straight forward at st pancreas and easy to check in and quick so you should be fine i would of thought.

I wouldn't personally be happy having such little time between the train and another. Especially if your first one is delayed at all. Also, our Eurostar left 5 mins early last week, apparently they normally do?!

Could you not look at coming down the night before and staying near Kings X or Euston? That's what we do now, saves all the early morning panicking!

Are you looking at the Portsmouth train that gets to Waterloo at 8:54? Because there's a 6am train on the 14th that gets you to Victoria at 08:43 and is showing at approx £16 single for an adult. If you book a through ticket to Kings Cross which is next door to St Pancras (5 minutes walk) the fare is approx £33. If you can get a ticket at the £16 price I'd say finish the journey at Victoria and get a cab to St Pancras with what you've saved. You'll have plenty of time then.

You are a life saver!! Seriously, I never thought about that
thank you so much!!!
I'd have never even considered victoria honestly, thank you!!
Thank you to everyone else as well for suggesting things xx

Even on a good run it's 20mins in a taxi from Victoria to KK. At that time in the morning it could easily be double that.

I personally think it's too tight and you'd be better off finding somewhere to stay that night in London.

I'd always recommend staying the night before too if it's possible. The 14th is a Sunday, that's why there's not an earlier train. Would it still take that long on a Sunday?

Oops got my threads confused earlier, what I meant to say here is: it might be a bit rushed leaving 42 minutes for the connection at st pancras in case of delays/etc, would agree with staying over day before or trying to get earlier train to London...
