European Passport into U.S??

If you are a resident of Canada and hold an European Union Passport, what is required to enter the U.S?? NOT a Canadian Citizen. Isn't there a notification that you must submit ahead of time now? Only entering the U.S to embark on a cruise from Fort Lauderdale.

You need to get an electronic travel authorization if you're from a visa waiver country. Otherwise, you need a visa.

Here's the website for the electronic travel authorization... I don't need to do this myself but I've had (international) students who say it works okay:

And of course, you'll need your permanent resident card (if you're a permanent resident, that is) to get back into Canada.

It's not for me...it's for a friend. He's Irish Born ..has an EU Passport and a permanent resident card. Just helping him obtain what he needs to enter the US.
