Or How I Got My New Stove
I really have got to find DH a job. He tried to re-wire my stove this morning--two burners don't work. I had just said "don't electrocute yourself" when i hear "POP!" followed by a soft "fzzzt!" I turned around to see him white as a sheet. He didn't know what exactly happened so he SHOWED ME WHAT HE DID! That thing shot off like a Roman candle.
Holy crap. The whole cooktop shorted out in a hail of smoke and sparks. Thank goodness no harm was done to life or limb.
So now we have thrown the breaker and the next step will be new appliances all around. The Fridge is original(16yrs), the stove is about 10yrs old , as is the dishwasher. We may as well replace them all so they'll match. Or God help us, DH will try to fix them too.
