This is a question to anybody out there who has had or is in the process of putting together a Wishes Wedding at WDW.

How close were the estimated costs on the Wish Book compared to your final cost?

Any help is much appreciated!

For me the price was not that close b/c first the prices have changed and have not been updated on the wishbook (at least the last time I checked) and second that does not include tip and tax which hikes the final price up. A better way to figure it out is to base it on the paperwork you get when you meet with them to book your wedding. It has all of the pricing for the ceremony and the food and beverage costs plus the extras. HTH!:goodvibes

P.S. if you would like to get a closer estimate, add on 21% gratuity for all food & beverage charges and then at 6.5% for tax on that total (make sure you add in the 21% before you do the 6.5%)

The Wishbook prices are almost all out of date, and they represent only a few of the MANY possibilities you have for each area of your wedding. There may be other, cheaper (or more expensive :) ) options for the things in the Wishbook.

Nobody told me that you could get an estimated budget proposal from your sales manager, so I made my own by using prices for things I wanted that had been posted by people on this board. Of course, prices may change between when they get married and when you do, but at least it's a ballpark figure to get you started.... :thumbsup2

Mine went up quite a bit. This was basically because I was looking at the decor, flowers, etc. that they have on there, not knowing how much more there was that I could add on (which I added on a lot).

However, with knowing there are so many options, you can also scale down your floral, decor, etc. much more than what they have on the wishbook. Just as long as you meet your minimum.

mine was around 7000 in the woish book and we paid nearer 12500 i think, its all the little things like napkins etc that you forget about.

I think the best thing to do, as Lurkyloo said, is to look at the TR's and PJ's and see what you like from what other girls have done and I am sure they would be happy to share their BEO and costs with you. :goodvibes

Like orangetiggs, mine was $10,000 on the wish book and its like $15,000 in real life, and I don't have some of the things I'd like!

I believe I paid about $6,000 over my wishbook price. I agree with the other responses...it's the 21% service charge, tax, and the little things you don't think about that add up. Not to mention all the things you pay for that are outside of Disney.
