Hiya everybody

I'm wondering what everyone's 'Must Pack' items are?

So far on my list I've got -

Calpol/Nurofen for DS (just in case)
Hair straighteners
Teabags & coffee & sugar
Ponchos

I'm sure I'll add a hundred more things as the weeks go on :-)

comfy shoes (and a spare pair) are always top of my packing list for DLP, closely followed by calpol for the kids, and headache tablets and plasters for me ;).

and a 3-plug lead extension for charging everything/straighteners etc.

I bring bottles of water. They're very expensive over there. Also snacks. And mugs and spoons for the tea/coffee!

Spare pair of shoes, warm coat, credit card and paracetamol

* Extension cord
* Spare pair of shoes
* Extern photo battery
* Extra battery for my camera
* Extra SD card for my camera
* Rain poncho (the one use then throw away kind)
* Extra pair of socks in my handbag - I've needed it in the past
* Laptop - to back my photos up at the end of each day (it happened to me once that all my photos were gone because my camera decided to act up)
* Themed mouse ears - I own about 10 pairs of them, and always take the one that's suitable for that trip (Halloween, Christmas etc)

Blister plasters! They are a life saver if you're shoes start to rub after all that walking.
I also bring a strong painkiller - for the 1st few trips I ended up in pain from all the walking and the weight of my handbag/backpack and ended up getting rain relief from 1st aid in the Village. I find solphadeine and nurofen good.
I now also bring small backpacks for the kids and learned to travel light in the parks.
I do bring foot rub too as I find its great to stop tired feet/aches and apply before bed so I'm ready to hit the ground running in the morning.

Travel Kettle! After a pretty awful trip there I was very grateful when my mum pulled the kettle out of her bag! Cuppa sorted me out!

plug adapters

pain relief (nurofen etc) as this can't be bought in supermarkets /shops in France apart from a chemist

Plasters

Spare shoes

Waterproof shoes!

After a soggy year where I had to put plastic bags in my Ugg boots after they'd turned into super absorbent sponges (:rolleyes2) I'm now always prepared.

LOL! I have some "Ugg like" boots I am planning to bring and just bought a pair of waterproof boots at Decathlon yesterday for the trip. I had this fear that if it was wet my boots might not do well - good to know! It is really dry here in Beijing in the winter.

I also bought another pair of thermals, new hat and ski pants in case it is snowing.
