We are taking our DD to the world next October. She will be about 19-20 months old. We will be flying and the flight us about 4.5 hours long.
What are some tips for traveling with a young one?
Also what are some things you've packed that have come in handy?
Thanks!

Snacks, snacks and more snacks. Also I bring a iPad or DVD player with lots of movies/cartoons for the flight. My two and a half year old does great with that.

Definitely the DVD player!
If you have a smart phone get the baby apps for the plane and waiting in lines!!
A stroller fan!! When my kid was two I didn't take one so I bought one there but he definitely needed it! It clips to the stroller and stays in place. Also those off fans are good for clipping to the stroller and turning on at night.
A changing pad! I don't know if your kid is trained or not but if she's in pull ups you still need one! I made the mistake of not taking one cause I figured he'd just stand and strip them off. Well I forgot about going number two. And I think it was Epcot but in the bathroom the changing table was metal! Cold!!! (Though I'm sure you are smarter than me and this tip is unnecessary haha)
When my kid was two he hated loud noise and a lot of the noises are loud especially on little ears. I would recommend ear plugs or something as a just in case. This year he's four and I'm just gonna bring head phones.
I heard this tip on another but I really like the idea of a glow light or a key chain light for dark rides.
Another good tip is have the baby watch the planning DVD to get use to characters before hand alot of babies and little kids get freaked.

I wish I could think of more but my memory is awful and I can't remember much from when mine was two. Or almost two I guess.

Have fun!!! :)

I probably went above and beyond your question of what to do o an airplane but you never know what some people do and don't know so I thought it couldn't hurt.

is this her first flight? my daughter is a frequent flyer so she knew the drill by 18 months so i'm trying to remember little things that really helped at that age.
- pack 3 outfits in zip top bags for the flight and and extra outfit for you too!! the ziptop bags are great to contain the soiled clothes too as we found on our trip to HI.
- pack the amount of diapers, wipes, and snacks you think you need for the flight and double it, you dont want to be stuck on the tarmac with a hungry wet baby.
- bring an ergo carrier or any baby wearing carrier it helps while you have to deal with security if you are bringing a stroller as check in.
- ipad / dvd player
- blanket / jacket since planes tend to be cold
- post it notes for make your own stickers so she stick them everywhere without you struggling to get off later.
- paci if she takes ones still to help with the pressure changes or hard gummies like haribo

Have fun!

These are all great tips! Thank you so much. My DH and I have been on many disney trips together but this will be our first with a little one!
