Since I planned the whole trip I thought I would let DH pick where we ate the first night. He came up with ESPN. Can anyone tell me about the menu? How crowded will it be during the MLB playoffs/World Series? I think it may be around this time. We will be going on Oct.18.

We ate there back in June and the food was great. You can check out allearsnet.com for the menu and prices. I would suggest getting there around 5ish because it does fill up. Every night they have a celebrity sport guest that they interview and the guests in the restuarant get to ask questions. We were there almost 2 hours. There are TV's everywhere, even in the bathroom. My 8 & 6 year old almost did not want to leave the bathroom becuase they thought it was "so cool to watch TV in the bathroom". We enjoyed it a lot. Have fun when you go. :goodvibes

I would say its like your average "rest. 99" burgers, sandwiches, some dinners, appy's" Kind of place to watch the game, and have some munchies. They do have some booths with little tv screens at the tables for kids to play games. Just ask your server for the controls.
We'll be there next Sunday, 25th.. Thats the day we get in and there is a N.E. Patriots game at 4pm. (DH already informed me of this)

A visit to ESPN each trip is somewhat of a ritual for us :earboy2: Sometimes we get take-out the first night and then visit for lunch the last day. I really like their nachos and chicken caesar salad. DH and DD love their wings.

When we were down in January DH wanted to watch his beloved Eagles in a play-off game, which started at 1 p.m. When we left for EPCOT that morning folks were lining up (yes at 8 a.m.) to get in for the game. DH left EPCOT around 10:30 to see if he could get a place for us ... needless to say we ended up leaving him at the bar for take-out while DD and I headed back to BWV to watch the game and wait for our food. It was PACKED at ESPN and it was on a Sunday in January

During regular season games we haven't had issues ... sometimes we will head down to ESPN during football season and don't have too much trouble finding a table.

Good luck!

ESPN is one of our favourites,we go every year we go to WDW.We went once in mid-October and it got quite busy later in the evening but as Matt&Jakesmom said,if you get there about 5 you should be fine. The food's pretty good, especially the nachos and chicken tenders,of course after a long day in the parks a really cold beer goes down a treat too.One of the other appeals of ESPN for us is the location-we just love strolling round the Boardwalk in the evening with a cool breeze off the water. If you go early evening you could take a walk afterwards to Epcot and watch Illuminations.I'd say go to ESPN.just make sure you're hungry when you go,the portions are not small!!.

There are 2 ways to get there from ASMo. One is to take a bus to DD then transfer to either a Boardwalk bus or a B&YC bus. Or, you can take a bus to MGM, then catch the boat to BW. Both would take some time to do, but the MGM route would be more scenic. Of course theres always a cab. At any rate have fun!!
