DH has just informed me that on Monday night next week he will be sitting int the ESPN club watching monday night football. I asked how he knew it would be shown on the ship and his response it "It's Monday Night Football! Of course it will be shown!"

So, here's my question.....Is he right? Do they always show monday night football at the ESPN club on the Wonder?

Thanks!

Yes. Since ABC is owned by Disney, they have the rights to the ABC games on Monday nights, and the ESPN games on Sunday (and occasionally Thursday) nights.

They do not usually show the FOX/CBS broadcasts on Sundays, but they did when we were re-routed to Key West two years ago.

This doesn't apply to you on the Wonder, but if you're on the Magic during the winter or spring, the Monday night game begins at 10:00pm, because you switch to Atlantic Standard Time on Sunday night.

Since you're on the Wonder you should be able to get the game with no problem. I've been on the Magic several times when they were NOT able to get satellite connections on Monday night and they did not get the game.

When we boarded the Magic on 8/24, my husband headed straight for the ESPN bar. He wanted to see the Kick-Off Classic. He said "it's on ABC and since Disney owns ABC and ESPN it will certainly be on!". It was not on. Apparently the Magic cannot get network TV...

My husband was devastated!

I'm trying not to panic...... We're sailing on the Magic Jan 25th
The Patriots'are 3-0 and the Magic can't get Network TV!!!
Someone please tell me they have watched the SuperBowl on the Magic...

Janone

Janone, they ALWAYS make sure they show the Super Bowl on the ship. They even have a broadcast technician onboard to make sure they get coverage. Don't worry. :)

Janone,

DH is a BIG Bears fan. Who knows, maybe we will be watching a rematch of the 1986 (1985 season) Superbowl??? For everyone's benefit, the Bears crushed the Patriots that year
:D .

That maybe true, but that was pre Brady Bunch, in fact I don't think Tom was born yet! Go Pats!!!

PiperG,

Are the Bears still a team? I hadn't heard anything about them recently. Oh, I know, it's because the Patriots are now the best:bounce:

Ah, just some good natured ribbing there PiperG. Regardless of who the Patriots play against in the superbowl, I'm sure that we will all have a great time watching it in the ESPN lounge.

Looking forward to meeting all our fellow 1/25/03 cruisers. The time is just flying by:Pinkbounc

LOL!!! You don't suppose DCL would let us have a squares pool or anything on the ship??? At a minimum, lets get the kids into the club and head for the ESPN Zone!

Do you realize that we are very close to the double digits mark?????????

PiperG,

I am amazed every time I look at my count down clock. I have it set for 1/24/02 as that is when we fly to Orlando and our trip will be here before we know it.

Janone's kids are adults and I don't have any, so we are free to spend the whole super bowl in the club! Sounds like we are going to have a wonderful time.

There still are not too many dis'ers booked for the 1/25/03 cruise. Think there are a lot of husbands that do not want to be away from their t.v.'s on super bowl Sunday?

I am holding out hope that we get upgraded due to a low attendance that week. We have a nice Cat 6 (room 6092) but I wouldn't mind being upgraded to a 3 or a 4! LOL
