Is ESPN Club only for 21+ or do they let kids in for meals? Is it smoking or non? My DS12 is a big sports fan and think he would like to eat lunch or dinner at a sports bar if it is not smoky.

ESPN is not 21+. We have eaten there 5 times with our kids who are now 4 & 7. I believe it is all non smoking now...at least thats what we were told when they gave us the option of sitting in the restaurant part of bar side(with our kids) in December. :D

As of last July, just about every restaurant and bar in Florida is non-smoking. It is based on the % of revenue made from food. MOST bars exceed (TGIFridays, Uno's) are all No-Smoking.

The "Club" in the name is not like a nightclub. It is just like a regular restaurant with sports decor and lots of TVs. There is a bar area and a seperate restaurant area. There is also a nice arcade.

We like eating there, but don't like the long waits somedays. They don't take a PS . The food is good and the servings are huge! Lunch is less crowded than dinner.

A few years ago, we were there while they were filming Baseball Tonight during srping training. That was alot of fun!:sunny:

DS loves the place. Most kids do.

Wow, thanks for all your replies. We will definitely go there if we make it to the Boardwalk on our trip.

Go for dinner, your son might enjoy the sports trivia contests they do in the evening. My kids love that place, we never know the answers to the trivias but it is fun trying! Food is pretty good, neat atmosphere. Small but fun arcade next door.

We go there several times every trip. We were just there last Monday. If you sit on the side where the bar is they have booths and the kids can play video games. They have only one game at a time so you never know what they have available but it is kind of good for them to play while they are waiting for their meal. This place is very kid friendly. No smoking is allowed. We felt very comfortable there. You can walk in and seat yourself on the bar side. I have walked in on several times to find a booth on the bar side while there is a line on the other side. I don't know if people know that you can seat yourself or if they think that it is a typical bar atmosphere. Which it isn't.

ESPN is all ages. The only place children aren't allowed to sit is up at the actual bar.

If you go for lunch, the booths in Sidelines (the bar area) have playstations in them; your server can grab you the controllers.

Like almost everyplace else on property, ESPN is now non-smoking.

We went there our first night. My DS 8 loved it. They were broadcasting a show live with 2 football players. I found the found okay, but I paid a lot and was still hungry.
DS kept asking the whole trip why we couldn't go back.
