Escape WP Cake Cuttings No Longer on Commander's Terrace?

Ugh.... so is it potentially dangerous for someone staying RPC to be out on their balcony in their uber-expensive room??

Just a thought, maybe not dangerous to people but dangerous from a health and safety standpoint as far as debris getting into the cake? I still think it's lame, but if public health said "no way" to having food around this construction then that might explain it :confused3

I don't think that would explain it, since the construction is way over by the WP. The Grand's pool and quite a bit of walkway are between the Grand and the construction site. I think DFTW just thinks it won't be "good show", to put it in Disney-speak. ;)

So sorry you have to deal with this and had to cancel. Good luck setting up at the Swan. They have been great for me so far.

They must be getting a lot of complaints because I asked and they gave me an alternative and I was able to switch so my cake cutting is not going to be in the Key West Room! :goodvibes

Just my 2 cents, but I think you should make Disney aware that the discontent you feel isn't limited to just you-others are experiencing it as well. These are make-or-break anecdotes for a lot of people who are deciding on a DFTW! No one wants to be treated like this! Especially with the money they're shelling out to Disney and the awful experience you had before. My heart breaks for you.

Can I ask what option you were given? I'm asking because I just called Karen Serrette after I read your post and she said "the only" option is the Key West Room. The only way someone wouldn't be in the Key West Room is if another event was already booked into it and they'd *have* to offer something else. She told me that in my case, all I was entitled to is the Key West Room, no other options.

Not that I'd give DFTW another PENNY of my money! We're going with the Swan where they know how to make their clients feel like they are valued and appreciated.

Well said, Amy sweetie!!! I have no personal experience with DFTW as I didn't even start the booking process with them, and therefore cannot judge, but I must say that my experience with the S/D and 'JustMarry' was 100% positive from start to finish!!!

I had a bad experience with them as well. Different answers every time I called, incorrect pricing info several times. I was given incorrect pricing last week for the new Memories. Imagine my surprise when I learned on the Dis that the price was going up and in all my calls to them not one person had told me the correct price. There was so much misinformation on so many different issues I could never trust them with putting together an event. I suspect it is just lack of training for that first line of people who answer the phones but that is as far as I got before saying forget it.

I get that it is Disney and a priveledge to get married there, but they appear to forget that there is a big pricetag for that privledge and that as customers we still should get basic customer service.

We had ours moved to Citrico’s Rotunda :) It's in the main building, tons of windows, very pretty - it was perfect!
