Escape from Tornado Alley to Food, Tropical Storms and Mickey - Completed 3/22

Hey - thanks for stopping by my TR. I saw you had one up and running and I'm always looking for a new TR to sub to. Seems I have a lot of catching up to do but I just have to say that Braxton is adorable.

Oh My - It couldn't have been fun worrying about your house the night before your trip. That's awful. I wouldn't have slept much myself.

Braxton did a great job with a long travel day.

Love your Pop location - 70's is the best. And EOS for dinner is always a winner.

I have never had breakfast at TH but it sounds wonderful. Yeah - I would not be paying $35 for the picture. :rotfl:

Really enjoying your trip report. Braxton is such a cutie. Can't wait to read more.

No problem. Love reading these things! And yes, he is quite adorable, and even better in person.

Once we found out our house was standing it was such a relief. We were literally in the mall in Grapevine, TX trying to find Braxton some shoes for the trip and I was watching this all on my phone. I couldn't even tell you what stores we went in or what we ate for dinner in there I was so nervous.

Pop was really great. We loved the 70's as well.

Really enjoying your trip report. Braxton is such a cutie. Can't wait to read more.

Thanks for reading along.

Tuesday, June 11 – Part 4 – What Have They Done to the Country Bears?

We left off at about 6:00 pm as we were preparing ourselves to head back to the Magic Kingdom for the evening. We had been at the resort since noon so we were very well rested and had all taken some sort of nap that afternoon. Braxton was ready to go!!

IMG_0085_zpsb97cfbbf.jpg

We got to the bus stop at 6:30 and were walking through the Magic Kingdom gates at 7:00. April and my mom wanted to eat at Casey’s Corner so they ran in there and got dinner while Braxton and I went ahead to Pecos Bills to eat. I guess we took a castle picture somewhere along the way.

DSCN0167_zpsf262a188.jpg

My mom and April were just going to bring their food to Pecos Bills to eat with us because there is so little seating at Casey’s and it is outdoors. We did not really think through the fact though that I had to go order at Pecos Bills with Braxton and the stroller. I managed to park the stroller and get into line with Braxton and get our food ordered. Once we got our food I was going to put Braxton back in the stroller and roll it to a table for us all to eat. Somehow while holding a tray with food, a drink, and a small child our French fries fell off the tray all over the ground. This is when an “angel” (cast member) who was standing near by saw what happened. She came and helped me clean it up and then went back to the kitchen and brought me some more French fries…how’s that for some awesome Disney customer service.

I finally got Braxton loaded up along with the food and we found a table. I had yet to go to the fixins’ far as I figured April and my mom would certainly be walking in by this point and then I could go do that. I guess Casey’s was busier than we thought when they got in line because I sat with Braxton for at least 10-15 more minutes waiting on them. Braxton ate almost all his food, but my burger was still waiting on fixins’. Finally, they showed up with their food and I got to tell them my story and go get my food fixed up. The food was enjoyable as it always is at Pecos Bills. April also loved her corn dog nuggets from Casey’s and she wasn’t too happy that she had to keep sharing with Braxton as he saw them and wanted some too!

After dinner we headed into the only attraction I can actually remember from coming to Disney World as a young child…The Country Bear Jamboree. Braxton really enjoyed this attraction. I could take it or leave it as an attraction, but it is nostalgic for me. When it was over my mom and I both asked “What Have they Done to This attraction”. It is now only about 7 minutes long. They cut each song down to about 30 seconds. I understand why they did it to try and move people through, but man the show is so rushed. Ok, that is enough analysis of a show featuring animatronic bears!

Up Next: We Finally Walk the Secret Trail

I still have catching up to do, but any update that starts with a picture of Braxton I just have to read!

I love Pecos Bill but that does sound like a challenge coordinating the stroller and your order. Thank goodness for helpful CM's. Glad you finally got to the fix-in bar!

Tuesday, June 11 – Part 5 – We Finally Walk the Secret Trail

It was around 7:45 so we headed out of Frontierland and wanted to start making our way around the park as we had reservations at the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party at 9:00. So we walked through Fantasyland and decided we would try to take Braxton in to meet Minnie and Daisy in Pete’s. We got there at about 8:10 and the wait was 45 minutes. We had been in that area in the morning and knew the waits were no more than 5-10 minutes then so we decided we would catch them on our next Magic Kingdom day.

We then headed into what I think has become my favorite store in Magic Kingdom, Big Top Treats. I think we just looked around and took some pictures. We didn’t really want any sweets as we were fixing to go to a $25 dessert party!

IMG_0139_zpsb44a6a5f.jpg

IMG_0141_zpsa6eaf183.jpg

We headed out of the store and Braxton was intrigued by the new water play area in the area. He was not quite old enough to play in it, but wanted to watch it. We even tried to get some pictures in front of it, but we couldn’t get his eyes off of the area to look at the camera.

IMG_0145_zpsb7469f00.jpg

IMG_0148_zps1838c0f8.jpg

We then headed down the secret path that connects the circus area to Tomorrowland. April and I actually were excited about this as we didn’t get to use it on our last trip because the area was under construction. Here are some pictures on the path.

IMG_0147_zpsc2f3b03d.jpg

IMG_0149_zpse365b3df.jpg

Braxton loved looking at the cars on the speedway while we headed this way.

IMG_0150_zps20a5b6c1.jpg

Somewhere along the path I was giving April a hard time because she was wearing a hoodie in 80 degree weather in Florida in June! She insisted it was cool enough for the hoodie, although I think she just wanted to wear it since we spent so long searching for it that week. She did give me a pose for the camera in the aforementioned sweatshirt.

IMG_0153_zps294cb828.jpg

When we got to Tomorrowland we had about 20 minutes to kill and there was a dance party going on and this was one of the greatest moments of the trip. We got Braxton out of the stroller and he just danced and played with us while the music was going and Stitch and Goofy were dancing at the front with people. We had a great time here.

Up Next: They Have Ice Cream!!!

Tuesday, June 11 – Part 6 – They Have Ice Cream!!!

After the surprise magic of the dance party we headed over for our reservation at the Tommorowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party. April and I had done this a couple of years prior on a trip and really enjoyed the experience. We really do not like fighting the crowds on Main Street or in the Hub to get a view of the fireworks, so we will pay $25 for that view and get some desserts thrown in!

Braxton waited in his stroller fairly patiently for the party to start. Well, he may have just been tired out from all his dancing, but for whatever reason he waited in the stroller very nicely!

IMG_0161_zpsf96b362c.jpg

While we were waiting we got out some of the glow sticks we had picked up at the dollar store before we left home. These entertained him for a little while and were a great investment compared to what they cost in the parks. I say they entertained him for a little while…that is until he decided they were a chew toy. We didn’t want him to start glowing different colors so we had to part with the glow sticks for a while. But hey, it was fun while it lasted.

IMG_0162_zps33b207a2.jpg

IMG_0163_zps53a746a1.jpg

We had a table on the front row so I got some pictures of the area. The castle looked gorgeous at night as usual. I also got some shots of the parade passing in front of the castle.

DSCN0221_zps62bc44d6.jpg

We enjoyed our desserts and I am not sure why I didn’t take any pictures of our plates, but we loved it. One of my big gripes a couple of years ago from this experience was how do you have a dessert party and not have the greatest dessert of all time…ice cream? Well, I guess someone heard April and I’s conversation that night because in 2013, they have ice cream! It was nothing special, just vanilla, but it topped off a stomach full of desserts just perfectly.

Braxton and I got a spot at the rail as it got time for Wishes.

DSCN0229_zps45eab60b.jpg

We watched the “Celebrate the Magic” castle show and unfortunately I just thought it was okay. The last time April and I were at Disney World the show was “The Magic, The Memories, and You” and we thought it was a really awesome concept. This year’s version was not near as memorable. It is still unbelievable how they project the images on the castle and so it is really entertaining and not all that bad, I just liked the old one better.

We then watched Wishes, which was fantastic as always. Braxton loved it for the most part. We were wondering how he would handle the loud fireworks, but he really did great. He was clapping a lot of the show. He would pause every now and then to rub his eyes as he was getting really tired, but mostly he just watched and when a big firework would explode he would clap. It was a great experience. I will leave you with a few shots of the fireworks from our location. I don’t like to take many fireworks shots as I like to enjoy them with the family, but I got a couple of pictures.

Up Next: Is a Bus Ever Going to Come?

I still have catching up to do, but any update that starts with a picture of Braxton I just have to read!

I love Pecos Bill but that does sound like a challenge coordinating the stroller and your order. Thank goodness for helpful CM's. Glad you finally got to the fix-in bar!

It was one of those moments where I saw the food falling in slow motion, but there was nothing I could do to stop it. Live and learn I guess. Don't try and handle a tray of food, an 18 month old, and a stroller at the same time!

Great pics! :)

Thanks!

Tuesday, June 11 – Part 7 – Is A Bus Ever Going to Come?

Sorry there are no pictures in this post. Bad planning by me!! Well we slowly made our way out of the dessert party after the fireworks and back towards the park to try and get a few more things done. We first headed over the Space Mountain and I rode with my mom. There was a very long FP line outside the entrance and we were riding with a child swap pass from earlier, but it moved fast. My mom enjoyed herself…she sat behind me so I had to endure the constant screams as we came upon the drops throughout the ride, but it was fun nonetheless.

Another interesting thing about this ride on Space Mountain was that for some reason the lights were on for the TTA and were coming through into the Space ride building. This made a very different ride as you could actually kind of see what was going on and what was coming up. My mom was still screaming, but I was just kind of taking it all in and trying to see all that I could with a little light on. It was a cool experience though, for me at least.

We then did some shopping in the stores in Tomorrowland. My mom may have gotten a magnet for her refrigerator, but I can’t remember if that was tonight or not. She bought one here at some point and Braxton still loves playing with that magnet to this day when we go to Gigi’s house.

We made our way down Main Street spending some time in the shops and arrived at the bus stop at 10:55. We made it out just before the 2nd parade, which was the goal after our parade disaster from a few nights before. Unfortunately, we then proceeded to stand and wait on a bus for over 25 minutes. We had just missed a bus that was pulling out as we were walking up and I knew buses usually come fairly frequently as the parks get close to closing, but not on this night. We waited 30 minutes for a Boardwalk bus, so we did not get back to the resort until about 11:45. Oh well, we were planning on sleeping in the next morning anyway, so no worries.

Up Next: Who wants to go to Mousegears???

Wednesday, June 12 – Part 1 – Who wants to go to Mousegears???

We were definitely ready for a morning to sleep in. Braxton got us up at about 8:30, which was pretty late compared to most other days on the trip. April and I walked down to the Bakery to grab some breakfast at about 9:15. I tried a sticky bun, which was pretty good, and April had the cinnamon roll. She loved it and I did too when she shared a bite with me. I was glad we hadn’t found out how good these were a few days before as I would have eaten a lot more of them!

We headed back to the room and got Braxton some breakfast from the room. We had a nice morning of relaxing and I think we may have even gone down for a quick swim at about 10 am. Braxton also found out during this trip that he was tall enough for the light switches here. This was very exciting to him as he was not tall enough for the ones at home yet. So he played with these for a while.

IMG_0165_zps8de9afdb.jpg

Now for a few days we had been searching for t-shirts that we could wear in some family pictures at the Magic Kingdom. We had not been able to find them in our size so I thought I would run over the Epcot and see if I could find them. So I asked if anyone wanted to go with me and April volunteered. So we set out on the convenient, five minute walk to Epcot.

IMG_0166_zps3f5ad134.jpg

We stopped and explored the UK pavilion a little bit.

IMG_0167_zpse6d37fb4.jpg

IMG_0168_zpsc63e3b43.jpg

We then headed over to Mousegears to see if we could find the t-shirts we wanted. We had looked a few places over the last several days and hadn’t found any, but I was sure the best store in all of Disney World would have some. Well…I was wrong. We did find a shirt for Braxton like we wanted, but no adult shirts like the ones we were looking for. I don’t want to show pictures of the shirts yet as you will see them when I get to our last day and our pictures at Magic Kingdom.

With one-third of the t-shirts we needed bought April and I headed out of there and decided to take some pictures by the fountain.

IMG_0170_zpscd53adff.jpg

And who can take a walk through this part of Epcot without making a stop at Club Cool, so we stopped and got a nice refreshing try of the sodas here. April of course was texting or Facebooking about how I tried to get her to try the Beverly again! It didn’t work though as she no longer trusted me when it came to recommending beverages. Oh well, maybe she will forget before our next trip.

Up Next: 30 Minutes…I Think Not!

Wednesday, June 12 – Part 2 – 30 Minutes…I Think Not!

After stopping at Club Cool we decided to head into The Land to grab some lunch at Sunshine Seasons. We just split one meal, the Sweet and Sour Chicken with Noodles. It was okay. Not the best quick service meal, although it was much better than the one we had a few days before in China!

After lunch we thought about stopping and having a ride on Living with the Land when we saw a 30 minute posted wait. I think we can catch that later. It is a good ride, but we can get it for a much shorter wait at another time. We headed back to the Boardwalk and got back to the room at about 12:30. We took a little rest and let Braxton take a short nap before heading out to Hollywood Studios. We got on the bus at about 2:00 at the Boardwalk and it was a great ride. I took some pictures along the way. Braxton started in the stroller, but sitting there didn’t last long!

We walked into the Studios at 2:15 and had about 45 minutes to waste before our ADR so we headed over the One Man’s Dream. My mom seemed to particularly enjoy walking through and looking at all of the great exhibits. I, of course, could spend a lot of time in here and could probably watch the movie over and over. We had an ADR to get to though…

Up Next: Mama Melrose Dinner

Just catching up. Great chapters so far. Just wanted to say, I don't think the dryers are very good at any resort. We were at Movies last year and they were horribly slow. They did have more washers/dryers but they took for ever. Add in a bunch of brazilian teenagers who did not know how to use them.... and it was a disaster. I only needed to wash 2 shirts that had gotten Mickey bars dripped on them.

Saturday, June 8 – Part 3 – Can We Change our ADR???

After the meal we headed back towards the room and I went in and put more clothes in the dryer. I was able to finish all of our clothes by about 9:30 or so. Braxton was in bed so I think we sat in the floor by the bathroom and folded clothes for the next week. The laundry process took entirely too long and I was glad it was a complete off day for us. In hindsight I should have taken the laundry with us and stopped at a Laundromat while April was taking her test. I can’t believe that though never crossed my mind, but I didn’t think the Boardwalk would have the slowest dryers in the world either. Oh well…live and learn.

All caught up! How are you guys liking this snow that we have gotten? What does Braxton think about it?

I LOVE the hoodie that she got! I need to try and find that. Don't you just love the magic of Disney buses. My daughter does not take naps.... like ever, but she would get on the bus and magically pass out. Each time we got on the bus at night, both of my kids would crash.

I am really going to have to stay at the Boardwalk someday. I would love to be able to walk straight over to Epcot anytime! My ultimate goal is to stay at the Poly though. I am obsessed with it and O'hana.

Congrats to your wife for passing her exam! I bet that was a sigh of relief. It is so nice when all of your hard work pays off.

Can't wait to read more!

The Boardwalk was awesome for that purpose. We loved the walk to Epcot and you get to stop in the Bakery each time you do it for a snack/breakfast. Braxton is not in love with the snow. He loved playing in the backyard and his toys just aren't as fun when covered in snow!

Wednesday, June 12 – Part 3 – Mama Melrose Dinner

We had a 3:00 ADR as part of our Fantasmic! Dinner Package at Mama Melrose Ristorante. We don’t love how all of the times available for the package are in the middle of the afternoon, but the seating section and how you get into the stadium at Fantasmic! makes it worth the package…or at least it did on our last trip (foreshadowing).

In case you were wondering the Fantasmic! Dinner Package is a set menu that costs $35.99 for adults and $11.99 for children. With the package every person gets an appetizer, a drink, an entrée, and a dessert platter for the table to share. I am going to put the price of everything we got later and we’ll see if we got our money’s worth.

We started with our Appetizers.

IMG_0178_zpsfce8aca2.jpg

Gigi and I shared Mama’s Antipasto for two, which is a “selection of Italian meats, cheeses, and marinated vegetables.” It costs $14.99 and used both of our appetizer selections. April chose the Crispy Calamari, which is “topped with grilled peppers and onions, served with dipping sauces,” and it costs $10.99 on the menu. We all three just ate off of each appetizer. I thought the Antipasto was good although I am not a fan of the olives and vegetables the meats and cheeses were really good. The Calamari was just ok. We had better Calamari the other night at a restaurant here in Oklahoma City so I am not sure we would get that again. The sauce for the Calamari was a citrus type sauce and it was pretty good though they don’t give you much of it.

While we were enjoying the appetizers Braxton was enjoying his drink!

IMG_0179_zps795d5fe5.jpg

This was about the point in the meal I got sidetracked and didn’t take any more pictures. For my entrée I ordered the Charred Strip Steak for $29.99 which is served “with five-cheese baked macaroni, aged balsamic-shallot butter, and Chianti Wine Reduction”. Let me just say I was not expecting it at all, but the steak was fantastic. It was much better than my steak at Be Our Guest and that steak was good, but not this good. The Mac and Cheese was good to and Braxton particularly liked it. April ordered the Margherita Flatbread “with fresh Mozzarella, Tomato Sauce, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and fresh Basil” and she loved hers as well. It is listed on the menu as $12.99. Finally, Gigi got the Chicken Parmesan which was $18.99 and served “with marinara sauce topped with melted mozzarella over spaghetti”. It was a traditional Italian dish and she loved it as well. We were all very impressed with this meal. I had read many mixed reviews at Mama Melrose, but I guess the A-Team was in on this day and we had a great experience.

The final part of the dinner was a dessert platter that serves the entire table. It had about 5-6 different selections. It had Tiramisu, which we liked, but none of us loved. There was also a chocolate tart which was excellent and some type of cheesecake that was great as well. The platter was nice. The portions on the dessert were pretty small, but that is probably a good thing! So what was our cost for the Fantasmic Package?

I added $6 to each of our totals for the dessert as that is not on the menu. I spent a total of $46.47 which was over a $10 savings. April’s meal added up to $33.96 which was pretty close to the cost of the dinner package. Gigi’s meal added up to $36.47. So overall we came out about $9 ahead which was great, especially considering the good meal experience we had. We will definitely be back to Mama Melrose.

After finishing dinner we took a stop at the Muppets where Braxton and I had to try on the 3D glasses.

Gigi and Braxton loved the Muppets show and they both laughed the entire time. After this we headed out and took some pictures on the Streets of America before jumping in line to see Lightning McQueen and Mater as there was only one person in line.

Wednesday, June 12 – Part 4 – Lost in a Sea of People…Our Fantasmic! Story

Once we were finished meeting Lightning McQueen and Mater we headed over to do the Backlot Tour. It was ok, although Braxton wanted to run around a little while on the tram.

Once we finished we headed towards the Great Movie Ride. We had a very good cast member in our car and we got the gangster scene for the first time ever. Most people say they don’t get the Western scene that often, but we had gotten it every time we had ever been and never scene the gangster scene so it was different for a change. It was a very good ride over all. After this we headed over the Sorcerer Mickey Meet & Greet and had a great experience. Braxton was very into it today and the pictures show he was enjoying it.

It was a great experience and I love those pictures where Braxton is just smiling at Mickey. We stopped by the main gift shop in the studios after that and still couldn’t find the shirts we wanted so we would have to keep looking. We headed towards Star Tours and rode with just a 5 minute wait.

IMG_0198_zps113cac86.jpg

After this we were really done except for Fantasmic! so we headed towards Hollywood Boulevard and saw this sea of people.

IMG_0199_zps457a4e18.jpg

IMG_0200_zpsbbdc40f8.jpg

That picture of the people lined up was at 7:50 before a 9 pm showing. We had dinner package seating so we didn’t get in line. We headed down to get some ice cream at Hollywood Scoops and sat at a table to pass a little time. At 8:15 we heard an announcement that there was lightning in the area so they were not going to open the theater for guests yet but that Fantasmic! was still on the schedule. Little did we know this would be bad for us since there was no longer a special entrance for dining package people. We had been told at dinner they would let the general public in and by 8:35 or 8:40 the line would be gone and dinner package people would go into the main entrance. Well since they weren’t letting people in yet there was nowhere for us to go.

There was basically no direction at all for people who had the dining package. At about 8:45 they finally opened the theatre so we just jumped in the back of the line and by the time we got to the top of the stadium they were announcing the stadium was at capacity before we even passed the stroller parking section. I found a place to park, but we could not get passed the people any further than that. We decided to just head out since there were no seats left for dining package people. Seeing Fantasmic! was not going to make or break our trip. Also, keeping Braxton up until the 10:30 show was not really an option.

I did stop at guest services on the way out to let them know and they were very nice and apologetic. They took my name and information and said if I wanted to come back by to guest services one night during our trip they would honor our dinner package entrance to the reserved section. We probably wouldn’t have a night to do that, but at least they were aware of the issue and tried their best to fix it.

April, Gigi, and Braxton got a boat back to the hotel at 9:15 and I caught one at about 9:30 after visiting guest services. I got off at the Swan/Dolphin and headed back to our room at the Boardwalk.

Thursday, June 13 – Part 1 – That Mickey Pillow Pet will Become His Best Friend

We got up at around our normal time for this trip, around 7:15 or so and got ourselves ready for another day. Today we just had to make the short walk over to Epcot for a rope drop at the International Gateway. We stopped at the Boardwalk Bakery on the way over and I think I ended up getting the Mickey Muffin again. It is so simple, but so good! I did note that the line was very long here today. I believe it was even out the door when we arrived. We were out and at Epcot by 8:30 or so and at the very front of the Rope Drop crowd.

Braxton decided he would eat my glasses while we were waiting for the park to open.

They opened the gates at around 8:50 and we headed right away to Test Track. I walked on ahead and obtained a FP for 9:40. Once April arrived her and I rode test track. This was actually my first ride on the redesigned version since I hadn’t ridden when April did earlier in the trip. I thought the design stage was very cool. I wish I had about 30 minutes to design it instead of the 3-4. I was rushed and still didn’t get to all of the design categories. I did manage to snag a picture of our car though.

We had gotten in line right at 9:00 and were out of the design studio by 9:10 and heading onto the ride. The redesigned version was pretty cool and slick looking, although I did miss some of the old elements. I thought the “car testing theme” of the older ride was pretty cool, but I didn’t hate the new version either. I am definitely not disappointed in it.

After we got out of Test Track we headed through Mousegears and noticed they had out some new t-shirts that had not been their the day before. While we were looking at them Braxton tried on a silly hat.

April also really loved these ears!

Finally, we had found some t-shirts like we wanted. We took some time to buy them and get the right colors picked out because we had some time to waste before our FP window opened at 9:40. Here is a picture of Braxton and I’s shirt.

We also went ahead and bought a Mickey pillow pet that we wanted to get for Braxton and from when we gave it to him he loved it. He held it almost the entire rest of the time we were in Epcot that day. I told April that this thing was going to be his new best friend. He still loves it to this day here at home.

After getting our purchases made we headed towards the land and right at 9:40 I pulled a Soarin’ FP for later and the return time was 1:05. I believe I left the girls near Mousegears while I did this as my mom and I were about to go back on Test Track with our FP. More on that next time!

Thursday, June 13 – Part 2 – What do you mean the Beverly is out?

When I got back from grabbing Soarin’ FP’s April and I headed to use our Test Track FP’s. We walked right into the room where they line you up on the numbers before you go into the design studio.

There was a cast member that was being very fast about lining people up, but people were having a hard time understanding that more than one person can stand on each number and the number they put you on just corresponds to what design computer you will use. There was a group right behind us that had obviously not done this before and all were trying to stand on their number. The cast member was trying to be fast and efficient lining people up and it came across as very rude and the people started getting really mad. Needless to say, they finally all got on one number and they talked under their breath about the cast member once she left. The car design process was cool again and I think I may have managed to get most of the steps done before our time was up. We had a good ride again.

When we came out Gigi and Braxton had taken shelter from the heat in Innoventions and they had found a steering wheel for Braxton to play with. Let’s just say we could hardly get him away from this think without a meltdown.

Once we finished we headed over to Club Cool. I was going to get my mom to try the awesome flavor Beverly! We got there only to find the Beverly was out. I did not think that was even possible. How do you run out of the signature flavor? Oh well, we will just have to come back!

We headed towards the front of the park to grab some photopass pictures there and I am not sure why they are not in photobucket, but I will try and get them added. We also stopped in one of my favorite stores in all of Disney World the Art of Disney store. I got some pictures of some of the awesome things they had.

We then thought about riding Spaceship Earth, but the line was still a little long this early in the day so we headed into Innoventions. As we were leaving Spaceship Earth I heard a Dad tell his kids we are going to wait in this 30 minute line for Spaceship Earth because there is nothing else to do in this park until our FP is open in 45 minutes. I thought to myself, there is so much to do in Epcot that is not rides. If only people knew. We made our way into Innoventions and let Braxton have some time to play on the Firetruck and in the little house that he had enjoyed a few days before.

This is a great picture. We look like we are moving into the little house at Innoventions we have so much stuff.

We next headed towards The Land and decided we would like to try Living with the Land. The wait, like the other day was a 30 minute posted wait, but we decided to go ahead and jump in line as this one is such a fast loading ride we thought it would move quickly. It turned out to be a good decision as I timed it and the wait took us exactly 7 minutes. Why would they be inflating the wait time of this ride so much? Here are some pictures of this ride.

After this ride is was about 11:30 and we went over to Sunshine Seasons for some lunch. April and Braxton shared the Oak Grilled Rotisserie Chicken with black beans and yellow rice. April enjoyed and Braxton loved it. He ate a lot of chicken and rice. I tried the Slow Roasted Pork Chop with cheddar mashed potatoes and barbeque sauce. It was very good as well, especially for a quick service.
