Escape Collection Cake and Champagne Reception

Good evening ladies.

DF and I were discussing the cake cutting tonight and he had an idea. He mentioned having the cake at the Illuminations dessert party that night instead of directly after the ceremony. I thought it sounded like a good idea.

Does anyone know if this is allowed?

They might. I haven't been here long enough, I think, to have heard about anyone actually doing it. They may say no though, since I think Disney likes to keep their Escape events pretty close to schedule. That said, I have heard about people having their wedding photography switched from the ceremony itself to the dessert party....so I would think it wouldn't be too much to ask to have the cake moved.

Just keep in mind that your cake will not count towards the food and beverage minimums of whatever venue you choose for your DP. So, you'll still have to meet those separately.

Ask your planner. Couldn't hurt!

Yeah I know it won't count toward minimums. We shouldn't have any trouble hitting that anyway.
