Did you ever want to stop someone you see in a car and say, "What are you thinking?"
I was in the parking lot of the local Costco and I noticed three women and a little boy getting into a car. One women driving and the two others were in the backseat with the boy. They had just gotten into the car and I was watching them. I thought the one woman holding the boy was going to put him in the middle seat, but no she held him on her lap. They started to pull out and I was amazed.
Why wasn't he buckled in? He was probably 3 or 4 years old, so in New Jersey he should have been in a car seat, but if they didn't have a car seat he should have at least been in a seat belt.
I wanted to stop them and ask if anyone in the car loved that child and if so why would they take such a risk with him. Especially in a crowded parking lot where people are pulling out of spots all over the place.
Seeing that always pissed me off.
