I heard it was really low crowds today. Someone posted a picture on FB of TT only 5 mins! They said it felt like nobody was there. I wonder if the other parks were as empty.

Is possible as there are a lot of storms in the area earlier today

Yes, I'm sure the weather played a part. Still, 5 mins. for TT is great, storms or not.

the storms moved quickly I am vacationing about 45 minutes west and every thing was gone by 1pm

Yep i was there! I think touring plans had the park listed as an 8 for crowd level and it felt more like a 3 or 2. But.... You had to put up with the rain and the wind. Also test track shut down for most of the morning.

(By early afternoon the sun came out)

Ahhhh! My favorite type of day to go to the parks, so many people seem to worry about melting in the rain
To be fair, it was a seriously crazy storm. More like what we get in the summer than a typical winter drizzle. I certainly wouldn't have gone out in it if I had a choice. But good news for those who did!
Edited to add: plus it was "cold" (for us Floridians)! We couldn't believe how hard the wind was blowing. So much for the dry season this year.

Yes but being a Floridian, if it is blowing hard 9 times out of 10 it blows over very quickly. Spent 18 years in Orlando area and now about as far away without leaving Florida:)

Even last night, MK had tons of 5 min wait times. I REALLY wish I could go this time of year. I think after all the Christmas breaks is a great time to go.

I am surprised, I would still think that MLK weekend would have been busier. I just looked at a WDW wait time app and right now times are not bad at all. Going to have to keep this in mind for next year, since our DDs school has a 4 day weekend. I miss the days before our DD reached 3rd grade, which was the last year where it was not to hard to catch up on school work. Now, missing a week is to difficult because of how quickly they try to cover stuff in school, you just miss to much.

Nice! I wish we had a 4 day weekend. I think it will be very slow this week.

Yeah, but this was a pretty nasty storm for a while. We were trucking around all AM in the rain, then ended up in the circus tent walking around while our toddler took his morning nap in the carrier, when suddenly I looked up and tons of people were running in from outside. I couldn't see from the doors to the Dumbo load area it was so bad. When I walked out afterwards to find the stroller stepped into a 4 inch deep puddle. Think weather.com said people in the area reported 45-60 MPH wind gust as part of that surge. The crowds did start to pick up about 3 hours after the rain stopped around 1 PM. But the wait times were all over the place. Saw Anna & Elsa down at 20 mins once, while Cinderella and Rapunzel were up at 120 mins!

The whole week the crowds were extremely low at every park. We were consistently seeing wait times from 5-25 minutes everywhere during our trip.

We always tend to use Peter Pan as a gauge. We usually expect to see it around 70-80 minutes, but I think the most we saw it hit was 50.

We were in the MK on Friday, and it was very uncrowded during the storms in the morning. After the weather cleared, the sun came out and it was a beautiful afternoon. More people did appear in the afternoon, but overall, it stayed fairly uncrowded

We were over at Pirates during the heaviest part of it, and there was deep standing water in front of Tortuga Tavern and that area. But the afternoon was GORGEOUS.

Peter Pan was 70 min around noon today, higher than Pirates.

Hope next week is low too! We arrive on Sunday for a short Disney fix before a cruise, planning on going to two parks weather permitting. I Expect cool temperatures which is fine, hope for no rain!
