Epcot to Swan in Rain

Tomorrow we're going to Epcot. We have dinner reservations at Il Mulino. It looks like it's supposed to be thunderstorms all day. My plan was to take the friendship boats to the Swan. I know the boats don't operate in thunder and lightening. Will they operate if it's just rainy? I'd prefer not to walk outdoors in thunder and lightening either. Is there regular bus service to the Swan? Is walking through the Beach Club to the Yacht club an option to spend less time outside if we do need to walk?

I am pretty sure that if the boats get docked then Disney will run buses - but since SDR is now using Mears I'm not 100% sure about that. If it's just rain the boats will run. Once you dock at SDR then you can walk under cover between the two resorts which will keep you mostly dry assuming the rain is coming straight down. Walking from Epcot through either YC/BC or BW really won't keep you very dry the entrances are not setup like that. Is walking through the Beach Club to the Yacht club an option to spend less time outside if we do need to walk?

The buildings' architecture doesn't make this as good an idea as it might seem.

It's not like both buildings are rectangles which are next to the walking path and are connected inside.

If you're walking from Epcot, you have to get off the walking path to get yourself to a Beach Club entrance door. Once you're inside the Beach Club, you have to walk outside again to get to Yacht Club. It's a covered walkway, but if it's raining and windy you may get wet. Then once you exit the Yacht Club, you have to walk to the main walking path again. I don't think this would save you time outside.

SDR contracted with Disney to provide transportation to DHS and EPCOT. I assume, but not 100% sure this includes buses if necessary. If the rain and thundet is so bad buses aren't running I don't think I'd walk to the front of epcot to take a bus.
