Hi,

I only have one day for Epcot (weekday) and I have no interest in the Food & Wine Festival.

What's the best strategy to do Epcot while trying to avoiding festival crowds? I'd like to do the rides at Future Worlds and explore the various country pavilions at World Showcase.

On a weekday F&W crowds will have little impact in FW and if you're not lining up for a food kiosk you should be able to enjoy the countries without much difficulty.

This has been our experience as well.

With no interest in Food & Wine, your touring strategy doesn't have to change. It may feel crowded in World Showcase during F&W, but we haven't found the waits for attractions to be longer because of it. It only impacts people who want to experience the different food booths.

I'm glad to read all this, hoping to hit up F&W in the fall. Been going to Epcot for years and have yet to do F&W

F&W crowds will be lower during the week. Avoid the weekends.
Start in Future World and do what you can.
Start World Showcase as soon as it opens. The crowds will build up mid afternoon. Once done with WS, then go back and finish up Future World. The late afternoon and even crowd in Future World tends to be much lighter.

I am a little confused. Is F&W a separate ticket event? Or does it go on during normal park hours in EPCOT? My wife was interested in going, but we heard it was a separate ticket event and she was not THAT interested. :rotfl2:

It’s included with your admission to Epcot

F&W is a really festival that has a little in the Future World area and most is through out World Showcase.
It is included with your park ticket.
Food and drinks at the different kiosks are extra. As are any of the seminars, wine and food pairings, etc.
The Eat to the Beat concerts are free.
What your wife may have heard about was the "Party for the Senses". That is a high price extra ticket event that is part of F&W on certain night.

Thank you both! My DW will be very pleased!
