Epcot - Saturday or Sunday during F&W holiday weekend

Which would be a better day to go to Epcot during F&W and Columbus Day weekend - Saturday or Sunday? It is a short trip (3 park days) and I would like to park hop to AK on my Epcot day. So trying to figure out which would be a better day because the other day will be a Studios day. TP has Sunday being the worst for both parks (epcot and studios) so I am torn between which to plan.

I will be getting at Epcot early and really only want to ride the rides and then hop over to AK, will not be doing much in the World Showcase, if that matters.

Both aren't great since locals LOVE going to Epcot on weekends (especially for festivals) but I would pick sunday. Saturdays at Epcot are pretty crowded year round.

Since OP is not doing much in World Showcase, the festival weekend crowds (who are mainly in World Showcase) shouldn't be much of an issue. Especially if you are just at Epcot for the morning before hopping over to AK.

I agree. It’s the WS crowds who are there to eat and drink who make it crowded, especially in the afternoon into evening. They won’t have a big impact on rides in the morning.
