After checking around, I'm discovering that some of Epcot's best entertainment is "on vacation".....

the mime in France is on vacation and so is the comedy group in England and I don't even SEE Nova Era listed anymore! *sobbing*

Is this typical for November? Any clue if these folks will be back on the schedule in the December time frame?

Maybe my info is wrong......

Nova Era hasn't been around for a couple of years...there was some sort of issue with Epcot entertainment management and some type of kickback "scandal" going on that led to the non-renewal of their contract. You might be able to find some information about this at their website.

According to Steve Soares' WDW Live Entertainment website, Le Mime Roland is still around in France, as are the World Showcase players in the UK pavillion.

The Voices of Liberty were "in rehersals" when I asked about them the last weeek in October

Pammy, I think Nova Era has been there...they used to be called Rondo Veneziano or something like that. But I was certain the Nova Era group was there even as late as last January.

So has anyone seen the balloon guy Roland at France lately or is he still on "vacation"?? I'm hoping that he'll be around in December......

I could watch Roland all day! He is so funny!

Isn't he a hoot? He interacts so wonderfully with the children he picks from the audience.

The last time we were there, my riot-of-a-niece asked him if he was allowed to talk at home! His reply to her was soooooooo funny...he has a great accent!

Nova Era has been gone for well over a year. There has been a performance group there, but I don't recall thier name. They just "walk" around in costume to classical music. (Can you tell I don't get much out of that one!) I really loved Nova Era. Steve does post on his message board when they perform elsewhere in Orlando.

Voices of Liberty was playing today, as was Off Kilter. And the drummers in Japan as always.
