HI all going to Disney May 4th-9th Ahhaha. Anyway haha going with 5yr old and 10month old. We DONT have park hopper, and want to make the most of our trip. Quick question. I loved Epcot when I was little, and haven't been back since I was like 10. We land at Disney at like 1045am, god willing we don't get delayed. Planning on heading over to Epcot late afternoon/evening. Rest of the next three days are spoken for, and we were planning on spending the last full day at Hollywood studios. Question, should we skip Hollywood studios and go back to Epcot that day? I hear that Epcot is more kid friendly now, and there's lots to do and see, and lots of characters ect. Or do u think the half day is enough the first day? I'm afraid we won't get to Epcot early enough to see all the characters, I heard they stop showing around 430-5. My daughter does like Disney jr, and toy story and beauty and the beast and all that jazz, but would that just feel like a repeat of magic kingdom?? I already have the Toy story ride, disney Jr and Ariel fastpasses at HS, so will we basically be wasting at whole day at a park that will only take half a day? I'm torn! I don't want to be selfish and just go back to Epcot bc I love it. Lol but I don't want to have to rush through it either and not have the option of going back if my daughter loved it and missed a lot! Thoughts?!

I'd do Epcot. My kids do like HS, but Epcot is the favorite by far - they like it even more than MK! My kids aren't that into characters, and never have been, so this is going by attractions alone.

Epcot is a big park, and spread out BUT there might not be as much for a 5 year old to do as Hollywood studios. If seeing all the characters is really important to you than maybe you could have lunch at Akursus in Norway to catch a bunch of the princesses in one place and that should leave the rest of your day open for wandering around. Or perhaps a better idea would be to save the last whole day for Epcot and hit Hollywood Studios the day you arrive instead. We usually do a half or partial day at HS because there's just not as much for LO's to do so you could do all the things you really want to do there on your first day, leaving the entirety of your last day to enjoy Epcot at your leisure.

My kids always preferred Epcot to DHS even when they were very young. We could never do a trip and only go there once (we do park hoppers and end up there most days!).

Thanks everyone! Switched the fastpasses and doing full day at Epcot and arrival half day at HS with toy story, Disney JR and little mermaid ride fastpassed!! 24 more days!! :D

Why not do HS on the day you land - it will be a half of a day and do EPCOT on the day that you had for HS?

I would pick EPCOT over HS if I had to between the two. There is a lot to do with the 5 year old.

Nemo
Crush
Figment
Spaceship earth
Mexican ride
Soarin
Innoventions East and West (my kids love it in here)
plus all the characters

If you're not sure I would do as PP said - do DHS the day you get there and then full day at EPCOT. DS really enjoys DHS..There's the Disney Jr. show, Beauty & Beast Show, Muppets 3D, some fun interaction kisoks and character meet and greets in Animation building, Indiana Jone, Honey I shrunk the Kids playground. DHS isn't as big and spread out as EPCOT and you should be fine with a half day. Plus with FP+ you can hopefully reserve an afternoon Fast Pass for TSM..you're 5 yo should love it and you can hold your 10month old on your lap.

There are good things in both parks for your kids ad if you have the chance you should try to get to both. If you did a full day at EPCOT you could get there early enjoy the morning and early afternoon then maybe head back to room for a rest and return in the evening for some WS and Illuminations.
