Hey all,

I know typically that weekends are OK to go to Epcot. However I will be there Friday 9/29 - Wednesday 10/4 ... during the F & W fest.

Right now I have my Epcot day on Monday ... BUT ... MNSSHP is that night and I'd rather go to that one than the one on Friday the 29th as I'm thinking it will be less crowded being a weekday. I want a "rest" day the AM of the party so if I do the Monday night MNSSHP it leaves me with Saturday or Sunday as my option for EPCOT. Saturday really as MGM and AK are out on Saturday so that leaves EPCOT or MK.

Tuesday and Wednesday are not options as those are EE days and we all know to stay away from those. Park hopping may not be an option this time.

So should I stick with the Friday night MNSSHP (That is the day we arrive via car) and Monday at EPCOT or would a Saturday at Epcot be ok? It would almost have to be Saturday ... Sunday would be tougher due to the EE's on Saturday at the other parks.

I hope this makes sense!

Thanks

WDWO

It is busy in Epcot on the weekends during F&W. The World Showcase was busy but the rest of Epcot wasn't too bad. It wasn't so bad that I would avoid going on a Saturday.

You are going to be there at the beginning of the festival. You will either get lucky and have a low attendance, or end up with high attendance. I've seen it go both ways in the first couple of weekends for the festival.

If at all possible, get there at the opening of the world showcase. Once the guests start to arrive in earnest, the lines for the food can get very long.

We have been to the last 3 or 4 F & W Fests on Saturdays--it's very busy, but I agree it's not so busy that I would avoid Saturday.

I have the same questions! My 72 yr old mom and I are doing a wild old ladies tour :thumbsup2 and we are going to MNSSP on FRI Sept 29 rest and HDDR on Saturday Sept 30 and Epcot on Sunday Oct 1 We will just work around the crowds I guess. If it gets too crowded we will just eat all we can hold and waddle somewhere else!!!
:wave2: Look for two wild ladies with matching Supermom outfits on FRI at MNSSP *****************Pacurn25

because of the number of posters that are going to wdw during free dining, I would say you will find THIS weekend more crowded than last years time!!

So, that being said, being forewarned is being prepared - prepare yourselves for crowds - prepare for lines, prepare for a tour, prepare for everything!!

and know you are at Disney, know you are at a special event, know, this is FUN and MAGICAL... let it happen!!

Thanks,

I just realized that Monday is a Jewish Holiday ... maybe this will effect crowds on Monday as well?

I think we will stick with Monday at EPCOT. We don't do well with crowds so the fewer the better.

I am bummed I had to delay my trip from Labor Day Week, a nice uncrowded time to go ... but looking at the up side of getting to try F & W fest + MNSSHP!

One more question. I swear I suck at making decisions!

Friday night MNSSHP + Monday at EPCOT

VS

Saturday at EPCOT + Monday MNSSHP

Which plan is best for avoiding the crowds?

Thanks

We were there last October and Epcot WS was always busy- didn't matter what day of the week we were there. Plan on FP Soarin and Test Track and waiting for the Maelstrom (if you choose to ride it).

A Monday MNSSHP would, in theory, be much less crowded than a Friday, as more locals would be drawn to a Friday night and thus bring attendance up.

Good luck with your choice!! :thumbsup2

Last year we were at the first MNSSHP of the year, Sept. 30th, and it was not as crowded as you would think on a Friday night. We got to do everything we wanted, and we got pictures.

I would avoid a weekend F&W experience at Epcot, except for one of the hard ticket parties.
