Would you recommend Epcot on the first Sunday of Festival of the Arts? That also happens to be MLK Weekend. I thought I was all set, planning to go to DHS that day, because I thought "Epcot is always super-busy on weekends of a Festival, and especially when it's the first weekend." But now I see the Crowd Predictions, and not only is DHS a 9 that day, but even more surprising, Epcot is only predicted to be a 5. So should I go against my previous thoughts? Maybe Epcot won't draw in so many people for that Festival?

I think it might be crowded with people there for the food and the art, however a lot of the time they are locals and aren't in attraction lines so wait times aren't horrible. But, the crowd calendar could be wrong, too. I am not sure if the Sorcerer and/or Pirate AP's are still blocked for that time, that might figure in, as well.

Sorcerer passes aren't blocked out. I have one and have a reservation for that Sunday.

I'm surprised to hear that you already made a park reservation! This is my first Sorcerer Pass, only used it once-I got to the gate and got the dreaded blue light. Turns out I'd forgotten to make reservations. So the supervisor made the park reservation for me while I stood at the gate, then told me "OK, try again" and now I was OK. I figured I could make reservations the night beforehand. Maybe I should make them now?

You should be able to make one now. I think you can hold five at a time with an AP. I have a room reservation and was able to make mine no problem a couple of weeks ago I think.

I should add though I've also never had any problem changing parks the night before but it isn't guaranteed. Its better to have something than to show up and have nothing available. Although I don't think that happens outside of busy season, I just still wouldn't chance it since it is generally easy enough to make reservations.

If you are looking to go to Epcot the first part of Festival of the Arts and require a park reservation, I would recommend making it as soon as you can as they may fill to capacity for park reservations as this is a short, popular festival. Also, many passholders have been blocked recently so they'll be looking to return to the parks.

Thanks! Your suggestion made perfect sense, so I've made reservations for Epcot for that Sunday. If I decide at the last minute that I'd rather go to DHS (my other choice) either I'll be able to change or not. If I can't-choice made!

If you decide to go to HS instead of Epcot and for some reason can't get a reservation for HS, you could always tap in to Epcot and then immediately hop to HS.

Thanks so much-I forgot about that, this AP park reservation stuff is new to me.

I’m going to DHS on the 19th and I’m worried about the crowds too. I was considering switching things around too but it would be a pain with my ADRs.
