Imagine a simple water ride, say on the order of Small World. Doesn't have to be fancy. But I think the UK pavilion would be well served with a slow moving water ride given that England is riddled with canals. The theme could be ... (drumroll) ... English Literature !!
It would start with Beowulf (yeah, he's Danish, but the Anglo-Saxons settled England), showcase the Renaissance, especially Shakespeare, then segue into more modern stories, especially the ones ripe for tying into Disney's IP: Alice, Merry Poppins, Pooh. They could even work in their animated take on King Arthur after showing Beowulf.
Obviously, they'd have to totally ignore the biggest piece of English literature to come on the scene in decades (he whom shall not be named here), but there's plenty of other subjects to feature. And, it wouldn't have to be a high-tech, super-expensive attraction. It could be really simple. Even a vehicle on a rail outfitted like a boat going through "water" would do the trick. Thoughts ???
I know it'll never happen, but it's fun to pretend. I wish every pavilion had some kind of ride. And, that we had a few new pavilions.
