I haven't taken pictures through netting - actually I don't even remember what pictures I have on smugmug, as I was trying it out and never returned (not becuase it wasn't good - just didn't have the time to test and think through the assortment of supplier options). I've only been to F&G festival once - don't recall the netting-challenge you mention!

HI, the year I went , the butterflies were in a net tent unit you walked into.
The problem was the netting if it was in your frame at all , made the focus go wild. I tried to get the butterflies to sit in good locations to no avail!
