We will be staying at BC and will be entering Epcot through the International Gateway. Which is the closest way to get to Soarin, Test Track, and Frozen - from the front of Epcot or from the International Gateway? The last time we stayed at BC, we had a 8:15 reservation at Garden Grill and were waiting to enter the International Gateway at 7:30. We told the CMs we had a reservation at 8:15, but for some reason, they had to wait for the okay via radio transmission to open the gates for anyone to enter, even PPO ADRs. They didn't let us enter until 7:55, which made us late to our 8:15 ADR at Garden Grill, which meant rope drop people were already riding Soarin by the time we finished breakfast. In fact, the Land was a madhouse when we got out. During our previous BC stay, we didn't have this problem with the CMs allowing the International Gateway people later than people entering at the front entrance. It seems to me that entering from the front of Epcot might be closer to Soarin and Test Track. However, is it closer to Frozen from the International Gateway? I thought it might be beneficial to use Uber from BC to the front of Epcot in order to ride either Soarin or Test Track first thing. What would be the best way to enter early for an ADR or EMH?

It's all sort of a "draw" as to distance.

But, yup, there can sometimes be a SNAFU at the IG getting in.
"Luck-ot-the-draw" kind of thing.

I would say front of Epcot is closer and better to get to TT and Frozen, IG would be better for Soarin

Just as important as distance is the time the gates actually open, the time guests are let in and how long it takes you to get through once they start letting guests in.

Front to Test Track = .31 miles

IG to Test Track = .51 miles

Front to Froen = .5 miles

IG to Frozen = .53 miles

Front to Soarin = .26 miles

Thank you so much for this. So it IS closer from the front of the park to all three. It was frustrating being held at the IG after being told they let PPO ADRs in early, arrived early since it is a lengthy walk, knowing you were going to be late when it finally did open, and then finding out the front entrance had evidently opened earlier than the IG and Soarin was already crowded well before 9:00 a.m. park opening.

Piggybacking this thread. We will be at BC (1st time!), and attempting morning EMH at Epcot and would like to get to FEA.

1)Bus to get to front gate?
2)Is IG still iffy on when they let you in?

Soarin and TT aren't priority during EMH, we will attempt, but we will have rider swap and FP at our disposal at 9am. SO just really focusing on FEA for the whole group.

This is for July 13th. I originally had Epcot for the 14th, but TP just bumped it to a 10-crazy. BUT, if EMH are good for FEA, then it'll save me 260 for the PPO BF I had planned. :)

1) There is not a bus from BC (or any of the Epcot resorts) to the Epcot front gates.
(Some suggest a Cab/Uber, but I wouldn't, myself.)
2) Arrive early and hope for the best.
3) Should be very good.

No bus to Epcot Maingate from BC-walk or boat to IG only.

Of course there's always Uber.:)

Wow, thanks you two! Fast response!
