I know 2017 was the first year, and that changes are possible and maybe even likely for 2018 so this is just a general question that may not matter in the long run. I'm going to be popping down to WDW over MLK weekend 2018. I'm going for a day in each DAK, MK, and Epcot. I'm anticipating the FotA to start the 12th, which will be the day before my Epcot day. My question, as it pertains to food, is: Are the portion sizes for the festival food as small as they appear? Or is it maybe just the illusion of the plating? I've been down for several Flower & Garden festivals, and found the food to be a decent sized portion. I usually have the DDP, and save my snack credits for F&G. This time, I'll be staying at Shades of Green, so will have no DDP. I'm not sure I want to pay $7 for an item that is smaller than what they give at F&G or F&W, especially since I can get a full entrée at a QS restaurant for $9-12. What has been your experience during the 2017 festival?

We did the initial FotA this year and have done F&G every year for as long as I can remember. I didn't think the food samplers at FotA were much different from those served at F&G. I have to admit that I find most of them to be overpriced for the quantity of food that you get.

I was at FotA last year and tried food from two of the booths. One I thought was grossly overpriced for what I got (deconstructed cobb salad), but I also had an alcoholic drink. The other booth was a good size and worth the price. That one was near the Mexican pavilion.
