Epcot IG Skyliner - avoid the long line at the end of the day?

Thanks for these ideas. It sounds like I have a few options:

1) leave at first boom and get back to resort via skyliner. bonus to see fireworks from skyliner maybe.
2) watch from UK/France bridge, get there early, leave at last boom and run to skyliner
3) watch fireworks (part, some, all) and go over to Boardwalk for some ice cream. Get back to skyliner before the posted closing time.
4) Leave well before fireworks and go watch them from CBR
5) Watch fireworks wherever we feel like it, and just suck it up and wait in that skyliner line.
All great ideas! Please just don’t run. If someone accidentally trips you and you fall, you’re not going to land on pixie dust, that is solid unforgiving concrete. Happens all the time. #weallgohomethesamewaywecame

Totally true. And we all know, after a full day in Epcot, walking, riding, eating, and drinking... I couldn't run even if I was being chased by a pack of werewolves!

SPEEDWALK is the operative word for Option 2.

And not speedwalkng to the point of being "uncomfortable".

We actually enjoy the trip from English Channel Bridge to IG Station-it is a little bit of an adrenaline rush to make the walk, hop on Skyliner and see the line growing quickly as we look down on it from aboard Skyliner. :)

Thank you! We have two Epcot days and I have a feeling this is right where we will be on night #2. We'll be with DH who likes fireworks but isn't crazy about staying in a mob of people just to see them, or then standing in a one hour skyliner line after. We'll probably zip back and just enjoy from our resort!
Awesome.

And there are also a few tables at Sebastian's with views of the fireworks.

Call it what you want, takes one stroller, one ecv, one little kid and we have chins bleeding, noses and ankles broken, you name it.
It’s dark, lighting in Epcot isn’t the greatest, a lot of people heading in the same direction, take your time. Festival season, which never ends , there are carts being pushed around. People stop for whatever reason in the middle of the walkways. See and hear it all the time. Not the souvenir anyone wants to take home with them.
Heres an example, grown man, 6’3” “ trotting” through the park after fireworks, a three year old escapes mom’s grasp and walks out in front of him. By the time he seen the 3 year old…….. 3 year old head bounces off the sidewalk.
Please, please everyone, just walk, take your time. Enjoy where you are, enjoy the surroundings, the smell of food. We will all get to where we are going.
