I have looked EVERYWHERE for a list of Food and Wine Festival events (dates, times, prices, etc), but can't find any info. We really want to participate in some of the wine tastings, and even a wine tasting dinner while on vacation at WDW in October. Any info anyone?

I'm not sure where you can find the info you're looking for. When my DH and I went last year, our TA sent us a link from her company website at ourlaughingplace.com. Give it a shot, it may be there.

As far as the actual festival is concerned, it was wonderful! We literally ate our way around the world! I would love to go back someday!

Have a great trip!

Erin :D

October 18 through November 16. You don't need ressies for the Festival -- just park admission to Epcot. There are a few sit down type dinners and wine tastings that are separate events, more info should come out soon.

We went last October and LOVED it. My SIL and I ate ourselves around the World Showcase. Salmon from Canada, strudel from Germany, fish from Florida, sausage from Poland, noodles from China, and lots of other yummy things I can't remember.

Here's a link to info about this year's Epcot F&W Festival:

Most of the wine tastings are walk-up, you don't need a reservation, you just stand on line 20 minutes or so before the start time.

Dinners are a very different matter.

There are a series of fancy (and expensive) dinners in the evening with guest chefs and wine experts who will talk about the food and wine you will be served.

Tickets for these dinners are offered first to the members of the Disney Dining Club, which is open only to Florida residents. Members will be able to purchase tickets in advance of them being offered to regular Disney visitors.

Many of these dinners will be sold out before they are publicly announced, and those that aren't will sell out immediately. You need to watch all the message boards & newsgroups every day for the announcement and then phone Disney IMMEDIATELY with your credit card. Don't even leave it overnight before calling.

Andrew

PS

I notice they have ALREADY been announced - Phone Dining reservations NOW.

I have looked everywhere, even on Disney.com, but I can't find any specific info, such as dates, times and prices. Where exactly can I find this?

Follow the link in JOC's message, in this very thread!!!

cause I can't find any specifics on the 2003 festival. The overview lists what will be offered, but not when or how much. The links on the left hand side of the page offer info on past year's festivals, but I can't find exactly what I'm looking for. I called WDW-Dine, and they said to wait until August before making any reservations for food and wine festival event dinners. Are they correct?

MT Mom,

Sorry, I didn't dig deeper than the link given and (wrongly) assumed full details would be given elsewhere.

I went to some of the dinners in 2001. by phoning Disney dining about three days after the announcement, and almost every place had been taken. I suggest you start calling daily a few days earlier than they suggest, just to be safe.

Checking on old notes I see that in 2001, the schedules of dinners and costs were posted on July 20th on Disney's web site without prior notice.

Andrew

Dear Andrew,

Thanks for all your help, you have obviously spent some time researching this for me and I very much appreciate it.

My game plan will be this: Starting about July 15, I'm going to check the Disney website for the dinner information and then when I see it I'll call WDW-Dine. I may just call WDW-Dine daily after July 15, to make sure to get it.

Thanks again for your help!
Annetta

Sounds like they mean to call WDW-DINE for information, not reservations.

The schedule for 2003 won't be out for a while yet. I'd keep an eye on this board and WDWIG to see when the reservations open up. Call as soon as you see that they have.

The Party for the Senses (Saturday nights) was a lot of fun and it's so huge that you can probably get into that, even if all the sit-down dinners are sold out.
