EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

They're listed but not with the dates of the events. Description just mentions the days of the week and times they are held but states on "select" dates. They still need to clarify the dates, or if they are going to be weekly through out the festival.

Sorry, I didn't get if off the Disney website. They're listed on the Disney Food Blog under Special Event, and were newly listed there and sent out this afternoon to subscribers. It may not be official, and like I said there are no dates listed, just the days of the week and times.

It says 21 and older. I am not sure what else you need to know.


And I had the exact opposite experience. Got reserved seating for PFTS but no seats for the Breakfast. My advice is to prioritize on what you most want to do.

They will charge you for an infant at ALL events. Including the seminars. Doesn't matter how old the infant is, if they can sit in a chair, or if they will even be awake. If they come in, they must have a ticket.

You will not be able to attend a beverage seminar with a child who is not old enough to be apart from you. They can't have the child in the seminar area.

My confusion was because their website says only, "Admission to Epcot is required and not included in the price of event admission. Tax is included. Alcohol will only be served to Guests 21 and older." and I haven't found anything official stating that a child/baby can not be present.

I've been to these events before on both sides, both as a guest and as a working CM (I was assigned to the Food & Wine Festival as a Pastry Cook during my college program and have been the one preparing your deminar dishes in the back) and it never would have occurred to me that this would be an issue until I read about it here. I don't mind paying the baby's admission if that is what they ask, but I don't want to purchase tickets for our entire party of six only to be turned away at the door. I may just leave out one adult with the infant, and purchase two additional tickets once there if still available and allowed. That would also give me flexibility if it turns out the baby looks to be fussy since I would have to leave if he started to cry anyway.

I am not that upset about a parent taking up an extra spot with their child as long as they don't then think "it's ok if my child disturbs everyone else". Or even better the parents who act put out if they think anyone is drinking too much in front of their child

But I can't imagine wasting that much money for something a child will hate. I have seen a couple of parents have a horrible time at PFTS because their child was bored out of his/her mind and driving them crazy. One dad wound up only staying 30 minutes. At the price of reserved seating that was a couple of hundred wasted.

I understand your opinion and I would rather not waste a ticket on an infant either, but that is Disney's policy. Just like it is Disney's policy to allow people to book FP or ADRs they may never use- even if they are released at the last minute it prevents many people from making plans they really were hoping for. Like I said I am planning on leaving the infant out unless there is still room at the door, the deminars we are looking at are not popular chefs and we are honestly only going to even attempt one. I just wanted to know the policies since they are not available from Disney proper. I do understand that the events are meant for adults, we are a party of five paying adults who really want to attend an event as much as anybody else does.

I will say though if you as an adult do not drink make sure to tell them before they give out the wine, you can get a soda/water then otherwise you cannot.

Beware that for the Culinary Demos the Hostess rather than the Chef tends to dominate the sessions.

Make sure it isn't one of hers. She's scheduled to do 3 or 4 demos of her own during the time frame we're going to be there. I can't imagine how unbearable it must be when she's actually the chef doing the demo.

I've been to some of the deminars where the chefs are clearly into public speaking (Carla Hall!) and the chef takes the lead. But in many cases, the chef is used to sitting in the kitchen preparing wonderful food, and the MC needs to take the lead in moving the presentation forward. Definitely she's not everyone's cup of tea, but we can't expect every expert chef to also be an expert public speaker.

No, in many cases where the chef is into public speaking she jumps all over them to make sure she gets her "microphone" time.

In addition, there's no excuse for the fact that by the last demo of the day she's half sloshed.

Sorry, but she crosses over from professional host to "you really came to see me" I don't bother to go anymore after watching one poor chef not be able to get word in at all at some points when he clearly had something to say

The Wine Seminar hostess is almost as bad, but luckily after she spends way to much time trying to act chatty and cute (and telling us how great her Boston Red Sox are doing really has NOTHING to do with why we are there), she's off the stage for a while LOL!

But I am I the only person who has bothered to complain? Because if we don't like something we need to tell them.

I have been to several food demonstrations over the years. I also have noticed that the hostess is chatty and interrupts. On the other side of the coin there are some chefs that can and want to talk through the prep of their dish and they do. Some do not and would prefer to concentrate on the prep.

Don't let her chatter dissuade you from enjoying the demo. There are big screens so you can see the chef's hands at work.

'She who shall not be named' looks to be doing quite a few of her own culinary demos this year. I can't recall that she did a lot of her own in the past? I'm actually thinking of attending one of them as I figure there will be no one else to interrupt.
