***Epcot Food And Wine Festival Info 2008***

That's okay. I just want to explain why I opted to make it TBA. I think it was last year when Jamie Deen was scheduled for something and it ended up being changed. It wasn't a pretty sight.

The absolute last thing we want to do is disappoint anyone. I'd rather err on the side of caution, especially with Irvine being billed as hosting Dinner Impossible and still being affiliated with the Food Network.

On the bright side, it will make it fairly easy for the people who are suing him to find him. ;) :lmao:

Regina..you would never disappoint anyone.

Chef Irvine has a huge following and a new show coming up on the FOX network. He is an extremely popular personality, regarless of what the stiffs at foodnetwork think (have you caught there new shows, they are horrible), Chef Irvine will continue to prosper and gain fans. He is just that type of down to earth person.

Heck, what other of those "tv personality chefs" do you know that call people at home when they email the website???

Hope to see you and your hubby on a cruise again soon.

Take care

Thanks for all the suggestions people.

I am sure me and the wife will have a great time at our first F&WF.

See you there!

Rob :)

I copied it from the other thread. I hope that's legal :confused3

Argh, decisions, decisions.

Is the Louisiana City Taste likely to be mostly seafood?

thanks for posting the link to the brochure. :goodvibes

No surprises ... and I was really hoping for a few. :guilty:

Now, we will have to get our dialing fingers ready and wait until Monday!! :hourglass

Well, sadly, there are no events scheduled during my dates that I have any interest in. :sad2: Guess it's just the booths for me and mine ...

We are going to book several events this year including a vertical wine pairing (Lebanon) and two food and wine pairings. I am not worried about booking party for the senses or the city tastes event but I am nervous about these others. Which should I be sure to grab first when I get through?

  I want Exquisite Evenings! especially ones with Antinori wines.
or another Passion for Pinot!

I'm more of a HGTV junkie than the Food Network, although I once went to an Emeril taping. :thumbsup2

I hope it is true and that you're able to see him. Then you can invite all of us over for the dinner you made from his recipes. :teeth: :drinking1

I'm looking at a cook book bottle, a French Regional lunch, two PTFS and the Bluezoo dinner (if I get it)...that's it. I'm usually doing about 8-10 events.

I don't have a scanner, is there anything that you would like to know? Any specific dates?

I may be posting a request that has already been answered by the time I get to the end of this thread... But, I would love to know if there are any special events on the brochure (mine from DDE hasn't arrived in Virginia yet :rolleyes1 ) for the dates of September 27-October 1. I am specifically asking about anything that is not already known like the Bocuse d'or and the smattering of Food and Wine Pairings that we are not interested in.

We planned this trip to optimize our APs and it looks like it is not going to be a very good week for F&W. :sad2: I am so glad we booked so many signature restaurants for our dinners!

Is anyone thinking about the French brunch at all?

I doubt that $300 + tax would be worth it for the hubby and I to attend but I have to admit that there's a part of me that's curious and tempted ... but then again it falls on the day that we're planning on drinking around the world and brunch might throw us off our stride. ;)

Meh, I'll wait to read a review from one you fine people .... surely someone here will attend and take pictures and write a review for the rest of us to read??? ;)

Off the top of my head it just sounds like three events for us if we can get them:

PFTS on 10/11
French Lunch on 10/12
Kitchen Chat on 10/16

we're keeping our ADR for Vickie & Al's, too! :thumbsup2

Off the top of MY head there is:

Nothing
Nada
Zip
Zilch
:sad1:  :confused3
