Hi everyone,

This will be our first food and wine fest. We are going in the beginning of Nov. just the hubby and I, no kids, no friends and no family, just us. Not to sure how to act to that. If anyone has any suggestions, comments or things to avoid, it would be greatly appreciated.

On the Restaurant board there is a long sticky thread devoted entirely to the Festival. The first post has links to schedules and reviews of past festivals.

Me and my husband went last year for swan and dolphin food and wine and epocts too just the two of us no kids ..it was my first away trip(farther than two hours ) without them they are 15 and 23 ..We had a great time..and it rained that weekend but it was so nice to enjoy each other without worring about anyone else...We are going again this year..Its going to be a yearly thing..after 25 years of being married its about time....Have fun relax and enjoy...:thumbsup2

I went last year for the first time with my brother and a friend and we had a complete blast, we are starting a yearly tradition as well! Make sure to stop by the festival center and pick up a passport, you can get a stamp and mark off what you've tried at each booth, it's a cool free souvenier.

We went to Epcot 2 years ago while the food and wine festival was going on, and we bought one plate of food. The portions are so ridiculously small for $4 to $5. Not even worth it. I would not bother going to DW just for the food and wine festival. All those $4 plates add up, and won't make you full enough. It's like going to a tapas or dim sum restaurant, you can end up paying $50 to $60 for small teeny portions. I live in the D.C. area so the food variety is huge out here. I would never go to Epcot just for the festival, a huge waste of money. I could eat 20 of those plates by myself and pay $80 to $100 and still not feel full. I can eat better food at our local Korean buffet with beautiful all you can eat sushi, ban chuan, and bulogogi for $9.99 at lunch. We have the best interntaional food in the D.C. area.
