We had a short trip to Disney April 19-21 to see Flower & Garden. I am a teacher and never had enough time to go to this. This year my Mom has been staying down here in FL, so I decided to come and see her and take her there. I am a mom from Ohio. We have had an extremely cold and snowy winter and Disney was just what I needed. Mom is 70 and was diagnosed with mantlecell cancer 2 yrs ago. I was suppose to bring her for an Christmas trip then but she was too ill to come. I booked a room for 2 nights at Pop and we were on our way. The drive was almost 2 hers and mom moves slow, so we were ready to go to Epcot about 1pm. I got a preferred room. We had rm 0172 in 70s building. It was close to park and ok distance to dining hall and busses. Room is double beds.

I debated getting scooter but was afraid it would be too hard for her to drive in crowded park, so decided on wc. I asked at Pop if they had any, and they had 1. There is no charge if you get at resort but they are not great shape. My mom is less then 5 Ft and we got xxxl. Disappointed at first but turned out well. Mom is around 170 but I was able to push all day ok. A lot easier than dealing with scooter and extra room on sides made taking jackets for night easier.

Magic bands were very easy to use. Loved them. I booked our 3 fastpasses living land, nemo, and soaring 2 days before and changed many times. Because mom didn't want to ride Soaring I didn't use it. Park crowd was fine. It was the Sat before Easter but ended up not using other 2 passes as their was no line. Only problem was I couldn't figure out how to cancel Soaring without cancelling others. I could change times and choices easy enough. Flower displays were awesome. I will post pics when home. Tried several of food boothes. First stop was to get our free 5x7 Disney Visa card photo. Mickey and Goofy was there. Great.

Mickey and friends display is right when you come in. Beautiful. Then off to the land for living with land pass that we didn't need. Love that ride. Grabbed chips and drink at Season's. Off to Nemo for pass that we didn't need but used for fun of it. Bands make this so much easier than digging out ticket. Nice ride. Looked at aquarium for awhile. We checked out the butterfly house. Parents, please do not allow your children to crush the butterflies. Then on to world showcase. We missed the festival center that has the most Flower and garden stuff. They said it was by mission space. We started at Canada. I took mom to movie. She couldn't watch it because it made her dizzy. That was too bad because it is beautiful. A word about xxx wide wc, we barely fit though the doors and it was hard to get in, trying to hold door and push her at same time.

Oh, by the way, the entire time I was here it was overcast and a little chilly while Ohio was sunny and warm. Lol. No suntan for me. We got our pics with Tiger and Pooh at back of UK. These characters were excellent! It had a fastpass sign there but it was covered. Looks like it may be a choice sometime. Mary Poppins was in UK too. Best flower display was here and Canada. Bambi and Peter Pa's. They were great. We caught part of British Invasion, they were good. France had Sleeping Beauty (flower and character), Belle and friends, and we had to get some crème Brielle there. We shared a tempura, fruitsie, and orange sake drink. Unfortunately Mom smokes and there is a spot there. Food was good. Drink wasn't worth 8.50. Next stop, my favorite... Italy. Love that plaza! We ate at Tutto Gusto. I got olives, 2 cheeses, and Rosa regale. Delicious, but 50 bucks plus tip. We had glazed strawberries in China, this was our favorite. Germany had a wonderful flower display of Snow White and dwarfs. We went on ride in Mexico. This was the hardest for her to get in and put of. We watched fireworks from a spot behind fastpass area or dessert party, not sure which. It was nice to see from tht side as we usually watch from world side. Then I stood in line for 500 hours for our free photo on way out. Also here is were I found out that they have the where's Mickey Vera Bradley pattern back in stores. I had just bought backpack and minihipster from those ebayers that were charging double or more for them. Ugh. Back to Pop around 10 pm. Two very happy but pooped ladies. Literally.... baby poo story coming as I have to board Magical Express now for sad part.... leaving Disney.
