This wraps up Memorial Day weekend; we get in late Thursday night so will hit parks starting Friday. EPCOT is showing heavy crowds all weekend Fri-Mon.

Is this worth fighting crowds to see? Won't the plants still be there after the Festival is over?

Thanks!

Don't look at crowd calendars, they are guesses at best. The food booths will be gone and most of the special topiarys will be gone. Maybe try it for a couple of hours and see.

We went on a Saturday one year. was it crowded..yes, but nothing too terrible. The flowers and topiaries were fabulous. We enjoyed it very much.

The flowers, topiaries & displays are gone after the festival is over. There will still be some flowers, plants, etc. year round in Epcot but nothing near as nice & pretty as it is for F&G. It's my favorite time of year bc of this besides the holidays.

Crowd calendars can be used as a guide but may not be 100% accurate and if they are, you still may not feel that crowded in the park except for the places it bottlenecks. I wouldn't avoid a park bc of what a crowd calendar says. If it fits into your plans, go for it! It is a beautiful time to be in Epcot & I also enjoy the food booths.

What type of food do they have at the food booths? I have never been to this event so I'm just curious.

You won't be fighting crowds. We go almost every Memorial Day weekend and did this past year and didn't realize the Festival was going on. We didn't experience any large crowds that we took notice of.

For the Festival (and I have a black thumb so I can't grow anything), the exhibits will not be there after the Festival. You won't see the topiaries or the gardens or the water displays after the Festival. My husband and I weren't impressed with the food booths mainly because, well, there were healthier than what we enjoy but they are there for the Festival (just not our thing).

If you've never been to the Festival and you have a chance to see it, I would absolutely recommend you go to it. That way, you can judge for yourself if it's something you prefer. For my husband and I, it's a "OK, that's it" but we are not you.

We are also going to the Flower and Garden Festival over Memorial Day weekend also this year. We had never been to it before and added a day to the beginning of our trip so that we could check it out. We went to Universal last year over Memorial Day weekend. All the websites were saying how crowded it would be. I didn't notice any large crowds at all. We are going to solely focus on the Festival while we are there, because we have 2 other days during our trip to focus on the various attractions in FW and WS

Remember that weekends are usually busier if just because of the local crowd and the Memorial Day weekend will add some nearby folks who might see the 3 day holiday as good opportunity to hop over to Disney. But nowhere near the peak of Christmas.

If you are a gardener or just into enjoying gardens a trip to F&W is worth it. I'd suggest a visit on Friday to beat the Saturday and Sunday crowds.

We'll be arriving the Thursday before Memorial Day and are planning on visiting Epcot on Tuesday (5/30) in hopes of lower crowds :)

F&G is my favorite time to visit Epcot. The topiaries are fun, and the floral displays are absolutely gorgeous! I dedicate one morning/early afternoon to taking photos and enjoying the scenery. I've never found the crowds to be a problem at that time of day, even when the crowd calendars are predicting heavy attendance. I hope you'll get a chance to enjoy Epcot at its finest! :flower1:
