We will be at Disney March 20-26th. We have never done much in WS at Epcot other than a few restaurants and rides at Norway and Mexico because our kids were still young. On this trip they will be 5 and 8 and since the flower and garden festival is going on, we would really like to spend some time in WS. Does anyone have any advice or tips on how to do this with kids to make it as enjoyable for them as possible? We have outgrown strollers so tips to minimize walking would be great! We typically do early mornings and take and afternoon break and go back out in evenings. Right now I am planning on being at Epcot one morning but I could also do an evening if needed since we are staying at the Boardwalk. Thanks in advance!!

I think they would really like the Phineas & Ferb game - one added bonus is that it takes you into all the nooks and crannies of a pavillion. Also there is a playground and butterfly house added for the F&G event.

The store in Japan is really fun to browse and shop in. Plus you can do pick a pearl there - it's even fun to just watch others do it.
And try to see some of the performers in each country!

Make an Epcot passport or buy one and have the kids visit the Kidcot spots at each Country to get the passport stamped.

if you would like a couple of coupons please feel free to post your kids first names and i will personalize a couple for you.

The passport kit can be bought at the Port of Entry gift shop in Epcot.

Well my strategy was to walk around until they fell asleep in the stroller and then I started sample yummy stuff form the booths. But I see that is not going to work for you. So I don't know just follow their lead take them to the playground look at the topiaries and when they get bored do something else.

Wow!! You guys are awesome! These are such great ideas!! They absolutely LOVE "detective" games so all of these ideas will be perfect!! This has the potential to be their favorite part of the trip! Lol! Bababear_50 that is so kind of you to offer to personalize those certificates! Those are absolutely adorable! Their names are Les and Cora. Thank you all so much!!

The kids may not enjoy the food at the booths, but we just grabbed DS something from the Refreshment Port while we sat on a bench and ate food from the booths. If you are getting QS for the kids, then you could probably bring the booth stuff in with you and eat there.

Mel, could I ask you to make both of those coupons for my son Jack? I would be so grateful! Thank you so much!

There are also two playgrounds set up for Flower & Garden - a musical playground is between Journey into Imagination and the World Showcase, and there is another Cars/Cactus Road Rally one on the pathway behind Mouse Gears on the way to Test Track. They both have plenty of shaded chairs and benches for parents too.

Hi
I posted Jack's coupons in my Photobucket
the link to my Photobucket is in my signature
Have a great Holiday

Just an idea
I think there is a Epcot Topiary check list somewhere,,maybe someone else knows.
Maybe give them the list with some stickers and once they have discovered all the topiaries they get a treat at their favorite Country.

OR

Maybe they can make a list of the topiary they find at each country.

Have fun planning

The Flower and Garden event passport that they give you has a list of every topiary, event, food kiosk, store, etc... And at each one there is a place to get a stamp showing that you saw that thing. They might enjoy that as well. It's totally free so it's worth a shot. And I echo the suggestion for the Phinneas and Ferb game. I actually really enjoyed doing it with my kids, haha... And my husband would play with them and give me more time to shop and such hitch worked out well. :) Have fun! It's so so pretty. I love just walking around and soaking in all the colors.

Thank you for the information!! I like the idea of hubby doing some playing while I can do some shopping! lol!!

My kids are 4 and 7 and I plan on doing the "snacks & cocktail" approach. Snacks for them, cocktails for us.

I just got back! It was very crowded but the lines moved fast! Lots of beer and wine! The topiaries are cool. They are listed in the passport. I think if you get the Easter egg adventure I think they'd think it was fun!

:banana:Thank you so much! I can't find your photo bucket at first glance but will keep poking around until I do! I won't be home to print them until next week so I hope they stay there for a while!
