EPCOT Flower and Garden Chicken and Waffles smaller in "real life."

A well known Disney World Blogger very positively reviewed the Chicken and Waffles at the Flower and Garden Festival (Honey Bee-stro outdoor kitchen.) So, I had to try it. As did everyone else, apparently, as there was about 12 other guests waiting for that specific dish with me.

Sadly, the actual dish didn't live up to the hype. The chicken piece was much smaller in person than it appeared in the photo, and the waffle wasn't properly cooked and completely fell apart when I tried to pick it up. But the flavor was OK and there was plenty of honey sauce, so it wasn't a total miss, just not as great as the reviewer claimed.

I asked a Cast Member if the chicken pieces were smaller than normal, possible due to supply issues, and he assured me they were not. Any ideas why the reviewers chicken looked larger than what guests were actually receiving when I visited the kitchen?

Well, I have read a couple negative reviews about that dish, that said the only part worth eating was the waffle, so I think it is probably one of those things best eaten fresh.

As far as the size, they could be identical weight-wise, but one might be flatter and wider, and another thicker and narrower. It is also possible that a wide angle lens could play into it, depending on the angle of the photo, distance to the lens, etc.

It looks almost like the first picture has 2 pieces of chicken on it versus the second one. Maybe the blogger doctored it up so it’d look better in the picture. Or maybe the cast member gave him/her an additional piece because it was being reviewed? Who knows.

The bottom one looks taller. The top one has a couple parts extending beyond the waffle but looks thinner. They are likely portioned by weight.
