Epcot Fast Pass Strategy

I haven't been to Epcot since FP+, as I have avoided the "boring" park with my son on his first two trips as a toddler (ages 2 and 3). My 60 day window is coming up on Wednesday.

Now as a 4 1/2 year old (and 42" tall) we are going to go (mainly because the other family we are going with wants to go to Epcot). This trip we have a 5 month old too (so we will have to Rider Swap some things).

What's the general FP strategy there? The tiering feels awful as the only three things I would want to Fast Pass (that I figure longs will be long) are Tier 1!

We are going on a Monday during Flower and Garden, so not sure how crowded it will be either.

General gameplan is rope drop, lunch at Garden Grill, flexible afternoon to explore, relax .. maybe have dinner, but definitely not stay for the night shows since we probably will have a late night the previous night and another park day planned for the next.

My son will probably be interested in Frozen (due to his age).
Is that ride okay to go on with a baby? I remember Maelstrom had a drop .. .

What do you Fast Pass as Tier 2? I just can't see any of the Tier 2 rides having long lines (from what I remember of them). I mean .. they are offering a FP for the Pixar film festival. Are you kidding me?

Unless you want to do the rider swap, I don't see you needing FPs. You can certainly get one for TT for yourself and spouse and do the rider swap with that or Frozen. You don't have to get 3 FPs, you can get just one and not have to worry about it. I can see the little one wanting to go to the Seas with Nemo and possibly Turtle Talk with Crush, neither of which you really need a FP for and he might enjoy Figment. We love Spaceship Earth and it should be o.k. for both little ones, again no FP needed but if you don't want to wait it wouldn't hurt to get one. If you want to do Soarin you are going to have to decide on either FPs for frozen and rope drop that or reverse it. You can single rider TT without a FP and the line goes pretty fast.

we did mission space and crush.
How is Mission Space for a 4 year old?

I did it years ago (back in 2010) .. and I can't recall if they had the "easy" option or not. If they did .. I am sure my wife and I would have taken the easy option if they offered it (as we aren't big thrill ride people), but either way we got very seasick afterwards. A very unpleasant experience. Does the easy option cause seasickness too even if it doesn't spin?

I probably won't do crush as I have never (even at the other parks) felt that a Fast Pass for a show is EVER worth it. I frankly think it is a disservice to newcomers to even offer it.

Definitely get a FP for Spaceship Earth. That does get waits 25min+. I would also plan to rope drop Soarin and then get FP+ for Frozen as your tier 1. Nothing else in Tier 2 really needs a FP, but I did wait for the Nemo ride once (but not any other time)

I would recommend trying to do both Frozen and Soarin' as the 4 year old would probably really enjoy both. I would recommend rope drop for Soarin and fast pass for Frozen. Frozen is fine for a baby. I would probably agree with getting a FP for Spaceship Earth and Nemo just because there's really nothing else to do with them.

Mission has two versions - one is an easier version than the other. I dont remember which one is which, but one is pretty intense while the other eh not so much. I was a nervous wreck going for the first time on the easy one, and it was no worse (maybe even easier) than Star Tours. We FP Crush just so we can get the 3rd one out of the way and try for a 4th for something more we want to do.

Is getting a 4th Fast Pass for one of the big three a possibility or are they all booked up well in advance?
