I'm going to WDW in June (YAY!) with with 3 friends and DBF and I've been asked to see what "Adult Beverages" in Epcot are worth purchasing, and which ones we should steer clear of.

Also, are any worth getting at a TS place?

Thanks!!! :surfweb:

Our favorites include the layered frozen margarita in mexico, grey goose slushies in france and snakebites (1/2 cider 1/2 harp) in the UK.

The slushies in France of course, I think everyone likes those. But I am also a wino and I like doing the tastings (or getting a glass) inside France and Italy. I don't know if they only do the Lemon Cello during the W&F festival, but those are fun to try.

Hm... Snakebites... never heard of it. Will have to check that out. :)

Good reminder Flip Flop! Black and Tans or straight Guiness in the UK :thumbsup2

Most wines I've tried, I haven't been a fan of. Too... bitter? Any really sweet wine recommendations to turn me on to wines?

In Italy - the red champagne - its called Rosa Regale - its smells like fresh berries, and it tastes sweet, not overly sweet, like fresh berries sweet! It doesnt have that yeasty heavy bubble taste!! ($10)

Mexico - I prefer the regular Frozen Margarita - one of those flavors of layered margaritas I dont care for - but it is a pretty drink! Rumor has a tequila bar going in - so if that is true, I'd do a shot of a good tequila!!

France - the Grey Goose Slushie - its lemon flavored and refreshing - the Gran MArnier slush is orange, and if you like Gran Marnier, you'll like this, its not tart, hard to describe - but its still quite good!

Germany, England - BEER!!!

Polynesian Resort gets rave reviews for their Rum drinks - esp the one in the pineapple!!

Yum, the Rosa Regale sounds good. I will definitely need to add this to my list of things to try. The drinks from France sounds tasty, too. I could never find a list that had what they were flavored to be, but now that I know it's lemon and orange... it's sounds very tasty. We'll probably all share the drinks... don't want anyone staggering out of Epcot. :)

I cannot get enough of the Peach Schnapps Oolong tea from China, Nuvo from France and Rosa Regale from Italy

Mexico = frozen margaritas
Italy = bellini ...mmmm
France = Grand marnier slush and the Grey goose slush
Germany = Beer
:hippie:

Sounds as if everything is good! This is good to know. I'm not on the "up and up" with Adult drinks so I'm always nervous when I try new things. I usually end up getting the same thing when I order one. :laughing:

I will suggest you not compare the Orange Marnier slush with the Grey Goose - on a hot June day - the tart crisp Grey Goose is AWESOME - and the Orange is such a contrast - its "warmer" drier (OK how else to describe?) It smells like orange, but doesnt have a real sweet orange flavor - again, if you know what Gran marnier is - you will understand - Gran Marnier - its like Brandy... drambuie... but has an intense orange flavor - but it is a liquour...

ITA with not knowing what to order!!

I want to try a Bellini, but I cant get past the Rosa Regale!! (fwiw its $19 a bottle - bargain priced imho - our liquor store here sells it for $19!!)

I prefer beer and red wine. But I really liked the slushies in France. Both the Grey Goose and Grand Marnier!

For wines, try Germany! They serve them by the glass in the back of the gift shop. Most of them are sweet & smooth. The wine list will tell you what's in it & which are dessert or sweet wines. German wines are definitely my favorite. I don't like wines that bite. ;)

Another wine alternative is a wine walk in WS. You get 2) 2 oz. glasses in France, Italy, & Germany for $20. Since you guys plan to share, everyone could get a sip to see what they do or don't like.

What does Nuvo taste like. I considered getting some a couple weeks ago, but chickened out. :blush: I keep forgetting the Oolong tea. I wonder if I could get it inside Nine Dragons. My DS & his girlfriend want to eat dinner there on our upcoming trip.

The Unibroue beer served at Cellier is the best beer available on Disney premises.

Bumping this up hoping Nicki will see it.

How do you do this? What does WS mean?

I've got a question - when you buy these drinks (wine, grey goose slushies, etc) do you have to drink them where you buy them, or are they given out in a glass that you can take with you through the park?

Also, I've seen pics of people with a small piece of pizza, or a small plate of cheese and I haven't seen these menu options (small samples is what they look like) on the allears menus, so is this something that is available but just not on allears or what?

Thanks in advance!!
