Any suggestions on where I can take my two boys (7 & 8) for a decent dinner at EPCOT and maybe get to watch the fireworks while we're eating??

I have the ice cream social planned for our afternoon at EPCOT so I figured that would hold them long enough to have dinner a little later. Which restaurants have nice views of Illuminations -- and food the kids will eat?!

There are many great places in the World Showcase. You can check the menus at this site . I guess it would depend on what your boys want. Have fun checking them out!

about the only sit-down where you will be able to see illuminations would be rose and crown, if you are lucky enough to get a table outside. keep in mind illuminations is usually around 9:00(or is it 9:30?). you might want to eat earlier and then find a place around the lagoon.:p

Most people go for a PS for 7:30 to get an outside table and then stay until Illuminations start if that helps.

We had PS ressies at the San Angelo Inn in Mexico, but changed our plans when we saw the outside tables at the Cantina across the street from the restaurant. We had eaten late and weren't starving, and my kids love Mexican (ages 5, 7, & 7 at the time).

After filling our tables with nachos, salsa, and drinks, we sat down right at the water's edge and watched Illuminations. Perfect!
The only thing that was a negative was the people who came rushing in at the last minute and stood right in front of our table, but after clearing my throat a few times (I'm not very confrontational!) they moved to the left a little and we saw most of it just fine.

Otherwise, plan on eating something then securing a good spot to watch.
Hope this helps! MJ

We usually do eat and then find a spot...I just like to do things different on each trip and thought I'd try dinner and dessert while watching Illuminations. From the looks of the restaurants with views, that probably won't happen...my little guy is too picky. :(
