What thoughts/opinions do people have regarding the epcot processional dinner packages???
Do you think it was worth the money??
How good was your seat and how early did you arrive to get your seat??
Im thinking of using this on our visit and any thoughts/comments would be appreciated.

Hey Bob!!!! Where have you been??? Still keeping Milwaukee safe??

I have done Cp pakage each year for past 5 years, I am sure I will again. I have always done dinner first, CP following. It is a good price, if you realize it includes all courses, appetizer, entree and dessert. Seats are just fine, they are about the front fourth of the American Theater. Most of the time we have got in line about 20 minutes ahead of time, but once actaully got there a minute or so into the intros and seats were still fine, they take care of you.

Maybe I will see you there. :wave2:

Wish I were going and could see it! Haven't been there yet. :(

We are going to see if we can get a dinner package for our last day of our trip (first days of the CP!). I hope we can; I will be up early on Sept 2!!!!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_11_1.gif' border=0></a>

Geez, the 2nd is going to be a nightmare getting thru!! I read others talking about calling for Thanksgiving ressies a few days ago with 60-90 minute waits! We want the CP package for Christmas day so I don't think I can wait til later to call.

Hey fellow Milwaukean!

We've done the package every time we've seen the CP. We never felt like waiting in line for 1+ hours with everyone else.

And like Dan says, the meal includes everything. IMHO it's a good deal. And if they are still doing this, your CP admission pass is also good for a discount throughout the park that day. A GREAT way to save a bundle buying souvenirs.

That was eliminated last year.

You are so right! I think they should have just done it the 90 day mark since it is so close to Sept 2 anyway! Oh well!!!!

Thanks for the info!!!
JFulcer-Always nice to hear from fellow milwaukeans!!!

I think a lot depends on your choice of restaurant. If you enjoy the restaurant, like the food, etc., it's well worth it, imo! Have a great time! :earsboy:

We really enjoyed it but the night that we went a very large section in the middle was roped off which meant we either had to go way in the back or on the side.
I won't do it again since I wouldn't know if all that area would be roped off again.

I made our CP reservations yesterday for Nov 29. The CM advised me the price included everything but the gratuity. I had thought the gratuity was also included and questioned her about this. She confirmed there was not gratuity in the price.
Isn't this a change from prior years? I have a fuzzy recollection that we didn't pay anything extra last year at the Rose & Crown.

The gratuity was included last year, but nothing was said about it being included this year. And of course I forgot to ask when I got my package ps!!!
Anyone else going to the 8:15 on Nov. 29? Might be a nice meet spot.

I got my Christmas day CPP and I was told that gratuity is included. Incidentally, I was on hold yesterday morning nearly 3 hours!!

I made reservations yesterday for 11/26 and was told the gratuity was included, but we're a party of 12. The total was 399.25, which equals the price of the dinner and 6.5% tax. Deb's site indicates gratuity is included.

Did it once. Never again. Just doesn't work for us. I've got 3 kids, 2 of them considered "adults" now (and next time we go, the 3rd will be also), and they just don't eat enough for it to be worth it. Also, since that one time that we did do it ('97), we never waited in a line to be seated (I'm so NOT into doing lines), but just waited in the back, on the left hand side, and every time we've done this, people have left (amazingly early on in the show), and they'd let more people in to sit.

But if sitting closer to the front, or guaranteeing a seat before the show is important, I guess the package is the way to go.

Glad to hear that others were told gratuity is still included! I was hoping that my CM was just alittle distracted with all the calls.

Why would you have to pay sales tax on the gratuity? I made a ressie for 8 people at $44.99 per person and the total was exactly 8 x $44.99 x 1.065.

If the gratuity were included, would that be taxed? I wish I knew for certain. I guess I'll find out in December.

My guess is since it is sold as a total package, with no breakout on the gratuity amount, tax is charged on the total.

If the waiter goes out of his/her way, I sometimes leave an extra tip at the table.
