I'm heading to WDW the week before Easter just to explore Epcot. Anecdotal evidence from friends (and even the DIS, to some extent) suggests that Epcot tends to be the least crowded park as a general rule. However, when I went to WDW the week before Easter in 1993, huge crowds prevented me from seeing much of any park; I went through the World Showcase not even realizing that each nation had more than a "front" facing the main walkway.

I really, really want to have a relaxed, thorough exploration of the World Showcase this year. Can I count on the fact that more vacationers will probably focus on the other parks, or prepare myself for some serious crowding?

Thanks for all feedback!

Well since 1993 WDW Resort area has grown quite a bit even adding one more park to spread the crowd out into! Plus more shopping and resort areas.

I think it will be some what crowded but I think if you do go "into" each country you'll be surprised on how few people are exploring too! I think many ,many visitors aren't aware that there are things to see in the WS countries and just walk by.The back alleys in Morrocco are one of our favorites and the garden with maze in Great Britian. The shops in China ,the garden in Japan and on and on!:D

I hope you have a magical trip!!!!

Is it easy to miss? What should I look for so I dont miss it? What should I definitly do?

We just got back Monday. EPCOT was definately the least crowded. MK was definately the most crowded. If you are interested in the World Showcase, I would suggest heading straight back when you get there. (Note, it opens later than Future World.) Though there were people milling about outside, I found most of the attractions were pretty empty inside. For instance, we saw the movie in China. It is in a huge 360 degree theater. The movie literally surrounds you. We all really enjoyed it. Anyway, there were maybe 30 people inside. We could have easily all fit into one row of the theater. We also got to get Mulan's and Mushu's autographs! We went to EPCOT on Sunday.

The world showcase opens at 11:00 so you can start exploring then. As you pass each country, journey back into it, checking out each building. You will find Disney charactors hidden back in their home countries, which is kinda fun. There are also many things to do and see. We like to start by heading left, walking through those countries first. riding the boat ride in Norway and end up in Canada watching the band there. You will have a great time, and don't worry about the crowds, most are on Mission Space and Test Track!
