Entire family's tickets on my phone??

Even though this will be my third trip to Disneyland, I'm feeling like a total newb. I have been searching the forums for some very basic questions I was embarrassed to ask, but I can't find the answers, so I'll pocket my shame and ask for help. In fact, I thought I had already asked a couple of these questions but apparently not!

I bought tickets for 6 people and can see them all on my Disney app, which is great. But I need every member of my party to have their own ticket on hand, in case we split up. Some of our party are older and do not do smart phones, so logging them in to my Disney account is not an option.
  • Do I have to go to a ticket window to get paper tickets for everyone?
  • Can I do this on arrival night instead of our first park morning?
  • What if one of them loses that ticket? What is the backup/replacement option?
  • For those in our party who do have smart phones, can they create their own account and I can "share" their ticket with them on the app?
Thanks in advance, and apologies if I've asked this before and can't find my own thread. We leave in a month, and I'm feeling very unprepared!

It's all good!! First off, print the etickets at home. At the turnstile (no ticket booth needed) you give them the paper, they will give you a paper ticket. Take a photo of everyone's physical tickets when you enter so if someone loses it you can go to guest services and have it replaced. (Idk if they charge for that.)

When we went they printed our paper tickets at the turnstiles on our first morning. It really was quick. They'll have to take your picture upon your first entry anyway so it doesn't take much longer to just get them to print your ticket as well. We didn't need to use more than one phone but others have reported that yes, you can use multiple phones. I've never lost a ticket so I can't help you there but I do take a screen shot of the paper ticket barcodes just in case!

Thank you both! I was hoping this was the case. Glad I can skip the ticket booth!

Seeing this post I also have a question - when you buy your tickets from Disney directly - you can enter everyone's names - do the paper tickets print off with the names or do they still have to print them for you?

After getting the responses here, I found the link in my email where I could print the tickets, and I noticed that the names are NOT on the print outs, so I'm going to look at them more closely tomorrow and see if I can tell which ticket belongs to which person by bar code or something.

Take photos (and screen shots) of the print outs -- we've had people here report losing the email and/or the print outs before getting to the turnstiles. Having copies on your phone (and on at least one other trustworthy person's phone, if possible) will save so much headache and panic. Make sure the bar codes on each ticket are clear. Then take photos of everyone's paper tickets as soon as everyone goes through the gate. You can get lanyards or Witz cases for your party members so that they can keep their tickets safe (and handy for the FP machines and scanners).

There are none. You haven't assigned the tickets yet. If you will have them all scanned into your app anyway scan a ticket, name it in the app & then write the name on the eticket. Any time the eticket, or even the physical ticket Disney will link to the eticket at the gate, is scanned into an app now it will come with the assigned name. You have 1 chance to name tickets. Make it count! (Or else you'll never figure out what numbers go with what person because numbers are Disney's default way of naming.)
