Now thinking about inviting my mom to meet us and am considering these villas instead of HIFS. Maybe. Has anyone used their Entertainment Card at SVV? I was quoted a rate of $1450 for two weeks direct from an owner. Is this good? I'm a bit concerned because they can't guarantee we would not have to switch units after the first week. Plus, after reading elsewhere about checking that the person offering the reservation is on the up and up. How do I do that?
Love this site!:sunny:

I think the rate of $1450.00 is very good for 2 weeks, that's $725.00 a week for a fully furnished villa in a beautiful resort. We loved it there. Is this for a 1 or 2 bedroom villa? Just curious...

I would ask the owner for references and their contact info. Did you find this owner through the Timeshare Users Group?(www.tug2.net)

You can easily call the V.V. after depositing with the owner. He'll have a "guest certificate" made up in your name and you can call to confirm the reservation if you'd like to.

Hi Lorix2
Thank you for your reply and good advice. I will ask the owner for references and contact info as you suggested. I did indeed find them on the www.tug2.net site. The rate is for a 2-bedrm.
Anything you can tell me about your stay there would be very much appreciated.

Sandy Feet - the tug board is a very reputable site. Of course there are some risks you take when you rent from anyone, but getting references and following through with them is the best way to protect yourself.

We stayed in the 2BR villa complete with full kitchen, washer/dryer, dining for 8, good size living area with tv, private patio and 2 bathrooms.

This resort is luxuriously decorated and the landscaping is extremely well maintained as is the villa. It was immaculate upon check in.

There is a huge pool, with a zero depth entry on one end for the little ones, with those water hose/squirty type things and a volleyball net in the 4ft section on the opposite end and in between there are waterfalls that my kids loved to swim under and jump through. You can bring your own floats in the pool....the deli food was excellent! We ate by the pool several times. The deli is inside the store where you can rent movies and buy groceries/snacks, etc.

There is a great playground, b.ball court, barbecues and small arcade and kids activites daily.

The location is excellent. It's on the south end of Int'l Drive diagonally across from SeaWorld. Up on the north end are tons of great restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, shops, tourist type attractions and the like.

I would stay here again with my family.

I think the rate you've got for 2 weeks is really good, considering some places are $1400. for one week.

I think owners usually have buildings 1-3 or 4 which are right by the pool and playground (there is also a quite pool behind that). We stayed in bldg 8 overlooking a big pond with ducks and frogs and short walk over a footbridge to main area/lobby/pool/store. It's a beautiful and peaceful place, lots of great photo ops too.

Feel free to ask anything more :D

forgot to add that you take a left out of the resort, go thru some lights and at the end of I'Drive, you take a right and you'll be under the WDW gates within 10 minutes.

Universal was about 15-20 with more traffic being up on the north end.

I'm sorry, I don't remember the names of any of the major roads...but the location is perfect.
