Entertainment card advice

I read on a couple of threads regarding booking accommodation about using an Entertainment Card.
Am not sure what 1 of these is
How it works
How you can obtain 1
Is it only available to US residents ( I live in UK)
Does it give you a discount at many hotels??

We re just at the planning stage of our first trip to DL so know very little about good places to stay. Am reading as many reviews as I can on personal recommendations
We re wanting accommodation within walking distance of DL so if any1s got any recommendations that would be great

You can purchase an Entertainment Book which includes the card at www.entertainmentbook.com or you can find them on ebay for a lot less. Sometimes those on the boards who don't need theirs any more will send them to other dis members. Have fun with your planning!

Most people seem to just use the entertainment card to get a discount at the Hojo that is near DLR. That seems to be the best deal and I haven't heard of anyone using it for other hotels. Also, to get the entertainment rate at Hojos, you only need the card, you don't need the whole book. There are people on ebay who sell just the card for about $3. Also, there are only certain days that the entertainment rate is good at the Hojo and I believe availabilty is limited to a certain number of rooms. Good luck with your planning!
